Shh, don't tell anyone, but.
But but but.
I do both. The two aren't mutually exclusive. Besides, absolute blast to play with friends.
As far as I am concerned Rock band is currently the best music game out there. Guitar hero is undoubtedly a piece of shit.
How the hell can you call one good and the other shit if they play exactly the same?
Rock Band has legitimately been strongly influencing their entire fanbase to get out and learn an insturment for ages, and with the recent "Pro" mode, they've done a surprisingly good job with it. The Pro keys are a really cool addition, they're pretty accurate. The Fender guitar that they're releasing in January is so fucking cool to me, I'm buying that shit.
I really hope they don't change after this sale; I have more hope than when Red Octane was bought out by Activision, because Harmonix actually develops the game.
I'll probably get RB 3 when the pro guitar comes out. I love the games, and making it fun and innovative to actually learn is a great idea.
Viacom knows that music games are on the way out, just like DDR years ago. They want to make one last profit.
Viacom is trying to leave the videogame industry entirely.
