Egypt protesters breach US embassy, tear down flag in response to film insulting Prophet Mohammad; n

Attacking embassies and burning down consulates is "protest".
Wat.
They're using protest (speech) to condemn the production of a movie (speech). I'm surprised no one sees the inherent hypocrisy, especially given they so recently had to fight for their right to free speech.
Why are Muslims always so extreme?
Because you are looking at a tiny group of them.
Wow, not only have they failed to make anyuone respect them but now they have publicized a previously unknown movie to all, thus increasing it's popularity. This is the wrong way for someone to show they are angry.
nuke the middle east etc.
this happened during the whole fatwa on Rushdie ordeal.
no-one read the (excellent) Satanic Verses, yet some of the religious leaders started spreading lies in order to exert political pressure using violence.
Why are Muslims always so extreme?
because the media narrative wants you to think they are
so they're burning shit down over a low budget obscure film some unknown pastor is making that would have been forgotten about literally a day after release
good fucking job guys, A++

Fuck, a US official was killed in the Benghazi consulate attack. This shit just got real, and only a day before the new Libyan government is announced

America is so lenient these days, a couple decades ago they'd have gunned them all down and invaded the country, bringing Christianity and freedom.
RIP America
a couple decades ago? we're still doing that shit
If only.
Now I’m really interested in seeing this so called film. (if it’s even real to begin with.)
im very surprised the marines didnt shoot when they took the fucking flag
im very surprised the marines didnt shoot when they took the fucking flag
good because that is a fucking stupid thing to do, shooting people over a piece of cloth.
good because that is a fucking stupid thing to do, shooting people over a piece of cloth.
More the fact that they stormed the embassy.
Usually when someone storms an embassy, things end badly.
The film that sparked the demonstration is said to have been produced by some Egyptian Copt expatriates. A trailer of it has appeared on YouTube in Arabic.
I'm not sure the filmmakers are even American....
I'm not sure the filmmakers are even American....
So they did this all for nothing? Good job fucking shit up over someone's movie that isn't even American made.

thats kind of more what i meant, like you dont do that especially with the kind of reputation we, sadly, have of being very trigger happy
Why are Muslims always so extreme?
Every single Muslim I have ever met has been a perfectly normal, sane human being. Anywhere where there are people with even roughly similar mindsets that can form a mob mentality will be effected by extremism.

Apparently that's the guy.
Not to be confused with another film producer named Terry Jones that had a hand in many Monty Python films.
That same goddamned fucking asshole who was going to burn the Qu'rans!
This whole concept seems entirely hypocritical.
And freedom of action does not compare to freedom of speech. Learn to deal with it Egypt.
"If your freedom of speech has no limits, may you accept our freedom of action."
Fucking idiots.
good because that is a fucking stupid thing to do, shooting people over a piece of cloth.
also i just thought of this. the symbolism is what matters more, kind of like if someone were to try and burn the constitution "its just some paper" yeah it is but the symbolism is what makes it matter
Just had a French Arab guy connect to my Teamspeak and tell us all about how Canadians are bad people, how the arab resolve is stronger than ours, and other random nonsense.
All Canada did was close the Iranian embassy. The staff are, to my knowledge, unharmed. What do these retards think we have to do with anything?

They listen to their imams.
Egyptians should shown some respect on a day 11 years ago "America was attacked".
Might just be me, but doesn't it seem Egyptians have been going on protests forever?
That country needs to get back to business. Its economy wasn't doing so hot before the revolution. With all this nonsense going on I doubt it'd improve anytime soon.
