Plus decent beers aren't THAT expensive. You can get a crate of Peroni for about £10.

As it is, I'd much rather spend that 8 quid on a few bottles of good beer or maybe 3 pints of ale in the pub. Nowhere near enough to get even tipsy - but I know I'd enjoy it a lot more. Same goes for everything else I drink. If you're just drinking to get drunk, I'd say you had an unhealthy attitude to alcohol.

I think I probably only get really drunk 5-6 times a year. That said it does take a lot for me to actually get drunk, which is a bonus I guess since it means I can sample more beer :3 On-topic I wish more of our politicians brewed and took an interest in beer. Maybe they'd stop taxing the shit out of it then :(
