Video shows Turkish soilders shooting Kurds with white flags collecting bodies

So, there are two situations:
- Turkish soldiers shoot Kurdish civilians without orders
- Turkish soldiers ordered to open fire
In either case, they opened fire on unarmed civilians without issuing any warning beforehand. A war crime.
In one case, it's primarily the fault of Turkish leadership and shows moral bankruptcy at a high level.
In the other case, stupid soldiers hopped up on adrenaline and testosterone shoot recklessly. This indicates a lack of professionalism within the Turkish military, and also moral depravity.
I would hope that the US might come in on the side of the Kurds here, who have proven valuable allies to the US, but realistically the whole of NATO will ignore this incident because it's more important to maintain good relations with Turkey than to stand up against a genocidal war criminal.
I don't want my country to keep up relations with something like that. Seriously. At this point, Turkey has become even worse than Russia. Why are they still in NATO?
why is this shite hole of a country still apart of NATO?
i dont think it matters what the reasons were, whether they were ordered to or not its inexcusable and it clearly shows that this "ally" is still capable of being the same country that committed genocide long ago.
if they brush this under the rug and there's no retribution, they're losing credibility.

Keeping Turkey in NATO damages NATO.

Yeah from the looks of it and the condition the Cizre's in, it looks a lot like Turkey have been learning anti-terror measures from Grozny operation.
White flags, no warning shots, they're learning well from their ISIS buddies.
What in the hell is turkey's beef with the kurds anyway?

They want to continue their domination of the Kurdish people.
i want to post this on reddit but can't post it on /r/videos OR /r/wtf
where the fuck do i post this, /r/politics? cause if there's one place that can get shit over the internet, it's reddit
I asked what my Turkish friend thought, he said it was normal occurrence. A lot of hatred for Kurds stems from the belief Kurd's do not want to be Turkish, apparently; so I don't know how shocking this will be for the world. They've been letting Kurds be killed by ISIS for a while, or bombing them given the opportunity with PKK members.

I showed this video to my mom (i'm Turkish) and she immediately said things like "dont believe everything you see" and "those civilians could be PKK terrorists in disguise"
Nationalism and brainwashing goes deep with most turks

Hah, you still think that Reddit is still pro-free speech? Even after their biggest news subs tried to censor any discussion about the Cologne Mass Rapes for days?
You cannot get anything out in those subs which is against the supposed narrative, unless it gets too big to be covered up.

Try MorbidReality, SyrianCivilWar or LevantineWar
Why is there a hard cut at 0:20 between the footage of the tank and the actual shooting?
Isn't this basically why the civil wars in Libya and Syria started?
The civil war in Lybia and Syria started during the Arab Spring four years ago. While things went relatively smoothly in Tunisia where it originally started and in a bunch of other nations, shit went south in Lybia and Syria.
Crazy to think this thing started because one guy set himself on fire.

Kurds want independence, which would take a large chunk of Turkey with it if it happened
This is the largest territory of Kurdistan I've seen on a map, so it'll give you an idea of how much of a chunk:

Ever since the Ottoman Empire's rule over the Levant and Mesopotamia by the late 1600s, the Turks have been constantly having their boot on the Kurdish people. This escalated significantly by the early 1900s with the attempts at Turkification, and during the Armenian Genocide, many Kurds felt that they were next.
Ataturk, as much as people tout him as some savior, did nothing to stem the tide of Turkish hatred towards the Kurdish people, who see themselves as an independent and Non-Turkic people. The strange religious nationalism that has been in Turkey, since before Ataturk (stop pretending he made it all go away) can be found in government policies against the Kurds.
The Kurds have resorted to violence over the past 2-3 decades, committing terrorist attacks and taking hostages as they feel they can no longer reason with an actual government.
Holy shit, this is 100% inexcusable.
It's a war crime under the international criminal court, but not all countries have ratified the treaty. Just saying in general.

"I keep shooting at these guys for no reason at all, why the fuck don't they want to be part of us?!" - Erdogan et. al.
think about how often this happens and it isn't recorded
what a disgrace
Why is there a hard cut at 0:20 between the footage of the tank and the actual shooting?
Yeah I immediately noticed that. Maybe the dude turned his camera off? Or maybe something happened he didn't want to show, although I can hardly imagine anything that would justify shooting of this many unarmed (and their attire doesn't look covering enough to hide weapons under) people.
Absolutely disgusting, ignorance and racism is passed down so effortlessly in the average Turkish families home, makes me disgraced of my heritage.

I actually saw this on /r/anarchism first.
Turkey needs to be kicked the fuck out of NATO.

Occupying Cyprus and funding ISIS should have been enough.
So has this still not gone widespread? If so, fucking how? This seems like it'd be a pretty important news story.

It's relatively hush hush internationally but the Turks are fighting a straight up insurgency in their east currently.
There's a bunch of combat videos, and surely more to come.
Like 3,000+ dead PKK and other related militants and probably ~1000 Turks.
I can see the Turk train of thought, they aren't being evil for the sake of being evil, but going at it short sighted and hamfisted like they are I don't see it bringing good results.
They are very scared of the PKK boogyman and really as a state they should be, it only makes logical sense. Now is their actions just and moral well that's all subjective of course. PKK first and foremost is their number one enemy to state integrity, ISIS doesn't register.
ISIS while being an issue isn't a direct threat to the Turkish state like Kurd nationalism is. The YPG gaining ground in Syria (being the sister organization of the PKK) spooks the Turks even more.
Its kind of ironic this whole thing, EU and NATO have threatened war against Slavic countries for not adhering to diversity (not accepting millions of refuges) and yet one of their own is allowed to get away with slaughtering Kurdish people for many years and has always denied the Armenian Genocide.

Don't feel to bad man, my father is a pot head at 55 years old (who hasn't saved a dime, no pun intended ) who supports Trump, and believes that Trump will win. So I know how ya feel.
