He once had one made of Adamantium when he was under the alias of "The Captain" but the he uses the Vibranium-Steel alloy one when hes Captain America.

It is sometimes refered to as Proto-Adamantium as it what later gave birth to "True" Adamantium after they tried to create it without using the Wakandan Vibranium.
