Funny, I also once had the idea for a latina spider-man-esque superhero a long time ago. I tossed it years ago because I realized it was crap.
There has, and until now it hasn't been popular. For a reason, Marvel is just greedy and is selling all their ideas to ass hole directors with little to no talent. Thanks Marvel for ruining all our childhoods.
If this is what ruined your childhood you didn't have much of a childhood
If this is what ruined your childhood you didn't have much of a childhood
I just grew up around comics, it brings back nostalgia.
as someone who hasn't read a comic book in the last 5 years, I am outraged by this thing that, based on the way it was presented on the forum, I assume I should be outraged by.
Why is everybody so pissed? Unless it actually is just old Spider Man plots recycled?
I'd hit it.
At least there is not way this could possibly be worse than She-Hulk. :barf:
have they made an iron woman yet cause that is something i'd actually like, if they did it right.
Spider-Girl - aka Anya Corazon - is a 16-year-old high-school student of Latino descent who lives in New York. The makers, Marvel Comics, say she provides a positive, modern image of an empowered young woman.
lol.
have they made an iron woman yet
I think so. Tony gave Pepper Potts a suit when he was on the run.
This is what happens when Disney acquires Marvel. :bravo:
This is what happens when Disney acquires Marvel. :bravo:
Why does everyone pull this argument when Marvel does something different? Incredibly stupid, if you ask me.

Also, to be on topic, I don't really care about this, because I don't really read comics. V:v:V
Ok for people asking about "Spider-girl" and there being a previous one: This would be the second (technically third, if you're counting May "Mayhem" Parker, spidergirl's clone) spider-girl. The Original spider-girl is the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane set in the future when she is a teenager. She took up the mantle of the spider when Peter Parker retired. Of course this was rendered moot when an evil (read boarder-line retarded) entity named "Mephisto" took spider-man's marriage with Mary Jane. It's a stupid piece of work and, unfortunately this also means that spider-girl is no longer cannon. The Picture Doc. Communism posted is of THAT spidergirl (and it's strange that she has such small breasts... considering her mother below). Face it tiger, you just hit the jackpot.

One More Day never happened in this AU so Peter and Mary Jane are still married. God I'm a nerd.
huh
Comic book writing in a nutshell.

Its bad because its a woman? Right? What is wrong with a company trying to attract to a larger audience and gain more money? People think that companies run for the consumer, so they think that marvel will stick to making comics for teen/young dudes, but their real aim is to MAKE MONEY, and if there's to do that, they will. Shit I'm a nerd.
I didn't read the whole thread but, Anya corazon is a pretty old character. I've seen her when I was just starting middle school.
Superwoman was ok but i dont know about spider-girl..
Just a female ethnic minority? Why didn't they make her a lesbian and go for a triumvirate?
Just a female ethnic minority? Why didn't they make her a lesbian and go for a triumvirate?
DC already has the lesbian angle down with Batwoman and Anigo Montoya. And of course Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.
