I believe the Norwegian police used like 50 bullets over 10 years. Edit: 79 actually, between 1994 - 2004. Half of them during the Nokas robbery.

Warning shots? Seriously? You should never discharge your firearm as 'warning shots'. That statistic should not even exist and if it's a policy - then it needs to go. You only discharge your weapon if you intend to use it for it's purpose - defense of yourself or others. Never for warning shots. That puts other people at risk. The bullet has to go somewhere. Other than that little statistic... the others are good news for the German police.

Not only do they appear to not be very trigger happy, but over half of those shots were warning shots. I'm pleased with that.

They wouldn't use it if it exposed bystanders to any risk, and by all accounts it saves lives.
