THAT IS SO FUCKING AWESOME i'll be 1000 times better if he like quotes qu'ran verses while fighting bad guys "and allah said to his followers, let the palace of the evil kings burn to the ground" *presses button that blows up evil henchman's headquarters*
Religion never really came up in batman why do they need to start any shit at all.
True, bringing in the religious aspect isn't really necessary, but I do think it's good that more superheroes from different cultures, races or whatever, just makes the whole thing more accessible to everyone. /lecture
Bah, I've given up trying to understand DC canon. Marvel's got the best :pseudo:
I prefer DC mostly, batman and a few other characters lesser published are just too good to let go of
Bah, I've given up trying to understand DC canon. Marvel's got the best :pseudo:
Nope they're just as bad, if not worse.
I want to read this now, since he look badass.
That Batman looks badass, reminds me of the Batman Forever guy.
Bah, I've given up trying to understand DC canon. Marvel's got the best :pseudo:
AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You're kidding right? You're serious? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAA Marvel has the most fucked up continuity EVER. Look up "Clone Saga" and "Spiderman One more Day". Hell just try to get Wolverine's origin straight and his relationship to sabertooth.
Why aren't they mad about Wolverine? He's been a Buddhist for years.
becuz he isnt evil antiamercan arab terroist who is enemy to jeusus christ and christains :downs:
Why aren't they mad about Wolverine? He's been a Buddhist for years.
Because he's Wolverine. He would go and fuck their stupid right wing shit the fuck up with his god damn super sharp indestructible claws.
"mixing races/ideals/cultures? despicable."
Then they'd better bitch about The Justice League, The X-Men, The Legion of Doom, etc
Wolverine is canadian. In most of the comics, and his original origin story was at least canadian background. but yeah, if you think marvels universes are organized, then you must not know what organized means.
Here's one of blogs from one of the right wing bloggers: http://www.publiusforum.com/2010/12/23/batmans-politically-correct-european-vacation/ If you don't want to read the huge amount of text, he bitches about how it's "politically-correct" to add a Muslim protagonist.
i'm voting for a new resolution to ban the word politically-correct from the face of the earth
This is along the same vibe as the whole "superman american image" and how they dropped the "and the american way" part of his dialog ( although i kinda agreed with it ) its silly and at the end of the day they're comic book characters who i love to read about when i buy my comic and if they change things up its always nice to see as long as they don't derive too far from the classic interpretation, thus far US right wingers STFU and deal with it and leave my superhero's alone!

The blog post that CoolKingKaso posted has the guy complaining about wanting escapism in comics. Then he complains that France isn't being attacked by supervillians, but ANGRY GODHATING MUSLIMS. Way to defeat your own argument. EDIT: This guy looks pretty cool anyway.

It's self serving to have it only be an american.

Apparently, Muslims do not count as French Citizens?
I would totally read this, that batman looks pretty awesome.
Now that's just stupid. People getting angry over this is practically racism. If the character was actually a terrorist, then it would make sense, but he's just a regular Muslim.
DC Comics = +1, Faggots in the world = -1. Damn it why those Marvel/DC comics won't be coming in Finland aswell.
Batman Inc. man It's Epic
Who gives a shit what rightwing bloggers think? Or bloggers of any type for that matter?
Who gets mad over comic books?
thats cool by me
Meh he looks like a cool guy to me.
Religion never really came up in batman why do they need to start any shit at all.
I really hope your joking. Religion still hasn't come up in Batman, it's just that Batman has recruited someone to be his representative in France, that someone happens to be Muslim. Big deal. This might come as a surprise to you, but some people are religious or lack it, mentioning it causes no harm one way or the other (Well, unless you're a bigoted republican/atheist/theist), especially if it is part of a character's background.
Well now there's a plus side to 19th century colonisation; if you wait long enough, one of the (fictional) people that immigrated back to the parent country's descendants will become a side-kick to a comic book hero.
batman set up a franchised batman corporation? awesome
