You guys like to pretend they actually care to shove Lulu down their audience's throat when really, they never played it live ever outside of one special show or two with Lou Reed. This is never going to happen, especialy when the only rare time they mention this album, it's to mock themselves in a funny way.
They're going to pull an amazing show, like they always did and always will. Period. As someone who saw them live 3 times, I can safely say that those fuckers know how to give an amazing performance, more so than some would like to believe. With all those years behind them, I think they have experience with that kind of stuff imo.
one of the worst metal albums of the decade "wasn't that bad"?
p sure its not a metal album, but art rock/spoken word
They have resources and funds for outdated no-name bands, but none or very few for their own video game
Is your avatar an image of the guy from Mystery of the Druids bursting through a blue picture of Ainsley?
I'm sorry, I fail to see how playing at one of the biggest gaming conventions of the year equates to a lack of self-respect.
It's blizzcon.
Christ, I though they actually had a career.
At the very least, some self respect.
I'd go find some self respect after Blizzard pays me and my band a shitload of money to play a gig at some game event, hell maybe they actually like Blizzard games.
What is this "blizzcon"..?
Imagine this starting some new trend: gaming/tech cons + music festivals combined. This could be fun.
Metallica was amazing when I saw them live last year (okay, their bass player wasn't all that great), and I don't listen to that kind of music.
...and WoW for all.
Really they should have hired GWAR
I mean come on look at their new singer

Sabaton did Dreamhack this year. :v:
Metallica sucks.
Most mainstream metal kind of sucks now to be honest. Either it has no balls like Metallica, or it's trying too hard to be "metal" and ends up just being a sonic mess of things. Overdriven low end, screamy vocals, soulless guitar tapping wankfest for the solo.
Only good new metal bands I have heard in the last recent years are usually recording from their garage with shitty low budget equipment.
but im also a cynical fuck when it comes to music so it's just me not being able to enjoy anything anymore.
Because all of a sudden all of Metallica's old stuff magically doesn't exist anymore, lol
I mean what would be -good- metal?
"It has no balls like Metallica"
Lol, what the fuck is that even supposed to mean. This band has been driven by passion over all these years, doing what they always wanted to do. That's why projects like Lulu, St.Anger or their recently released movie came to life, someone actually dared to change their ways and experiment new things. What's the point in making Master of Puppets 2.0 when Master of Puppets already exist.
I welcome change in a band's career and if I don't like it, hell, I'll listen to something else.
Either it has no balls like Metallica
no balls? their more recent stuff has been really watered down compared to their heyday, sure, but you can't say Dyer's Eve and Damage Inc. for example don't have some balls to them
the rest i agree with 100%
soulless guitar tapping wankfest for the solo.
don't forget sweeping all over the place and everyone having the same guitar tone
they will most likely cover I Am Murloc
