Seth Mcfarlene's jokes at the Oscars were hit and miss for me but I got to admit he is a good singer. I just don't find his style of humor funny not necessarily because he makes these types of jokes but because I just don't find him that funny.

When black people say racist jokes among each other (or even just say the n-word), no one would claim that they are actually racist against themselves. When a person of different race does that, people start whining, even if what they're saying is the *exact same thing*. So the joke in itself is neither racist nor offensive, but depending on their personal opinions and attitude, and your perception, the person saying it might be.
