See people are idiots for making BF3 and MW3 competitors. The Battlefield community used to be great(back right before Bad Company so around BF2/2142) and now I hear some kid calling other players faggots and all this crap through chat. It's terrible.
The BF2 community was almost almost as bad as the cod community, hell the cod community was better back then than it is now. It's the players that have been getting worse.
9.3 million sales in first 24 hours.
12-year olds and other people who are such blind fanboys. COD has been built up to popularity and being a great series. Over the years however, the sequels has been worse for every release. Fans will still carry their burnt flag, whether the owners milks their fans or actually trying to make a great game.
Been playing since the first CoD and still think its a great series, haven't been 12 in quite awhile. I dunno about blind though, I like a lot of other games that aren't CoD.
that's entirely different there's 0 games that have come out ever to be worth that money i never pay more than 30 bucks for a game
I don't know. I've gotten infinitely more enjoyment out of some games than I would other most (or any) other product I've bought worth $60. Of course they were Valve games so they weren't $60, but still. [editline]12th November 2011[/editline]
$60 DLC at it's finest.
It truly is. Because no other DLC is $60.
A shitload of people still play CoD4, Black Ops, and MW2.
people either switch from rehash to rehash or stay at the original which means that a shitload of people still play CoD4 and CoD2, that's about it
I'm ashamed of you facepunch holy shit. The game's dumb and yeah it comes out yearly and activision is the devil bandwagon bandwagon but if this happened to anyone else, literally anyone you'd be posting "Oh man that's awful alright yeah the games fair enough I'll give it a 7" or whatever. First page is filled with people who haven't even played the damn thing who watch gameplay and rate anyway. That's disgusting. I haven't played it, nor will I play it as I don't support it but it's getting bombed by trolls and the guys fine for asking people to go be honest on it. Look at most of the 0's, they don't give a reason why and they were created to JUST review that SINGLE game. Or to give Battlefield a 10/10.
I remember when Call of Duty was good. :( Watch as mainstream gaming goes down the toilet when Call of Duty finally dies. (Which I really, really, can't wait for)
Fun fact: it all started when MW2 didn't get dedicated servers and DLC was announced. Fun fact: DLC has been around cod for a long time. (not DLC, expansion packs)
Oh man you sure told me.
I am posting this gif so much more than I should need to.
Fun fact: it all started when MW2 didn't get dedicated servers and DLC was announced. Fun fact: DLC has been around cod for a long time. (not DLC, expansion packs)
DLC = Maybe a couple of new weapons and a new quest/Mission. Should cost less than ten bucks. Expansion pack = Lots of new units/enemies, a whole bunch of new maps and another/new story. Should cost less than twenty. I'm not going to explain Map packs because.. they're just so stupid. Modern Warefare 3 Brady Guide costs 13,99 €. A goddamn guide. Oh look. MW2 costs 39,99€ after two years. That's like how a new game should cost at release or even as pre-order with bonus items in it. But no.
Oh man you sure told me.
Just like you told Facepunch.
Activision = 60$ DLC and repackage anyone?
Fun fact: it all started when MW2 didn't get dedicated servers and DLC was announced. Fun fact: DLC has been around cod for a long time. (not DLC, expansion packs)
1. The DLC in CoD4/CoD5 weren't overpriced for consoles. 2. The DLC in CoD4/CoD5 were released free for the PC.

Also, there's nothing to say an expansion can't cost more if it has the content to back up the price. CoD4 still cost $20, and it's how old now. I think they want people to go "oh, the newest CoD isn't much more than the old one, I'll just get it".
1. The DLC in CoD4/CoD5 weren't overpriced for consoles. 2. So I played splitscreen at my friend's house (I've owned CoD4 and BO). My god it's so easy to get headshots, that console aim assist is so broken. Headshots are merely pointing the crosshair in a person's general direction (just not too low) and boom! It's like Killing Floor aim or something :v:

I like CoD and its not like you guys are Activision's competition so you shouldn't really give a fuck about how much money they're making off their game. This thread is like a broken record. Inb4dumbvotes.
I love when I mention aim assist to a console player and they deny it exists and base it all on their skill :v:
I remember getting headshots on CoD4 PC, and of course I've played countless other PC FPS, aside from Killing Floor and a few other titles, generally headshots take skill and are fairly difficult to get, at least in comparison to console games. Also Lost Planet on PC can use 360 controllers, and it tells you it uses aim assist, damn I actually played the game WITH a 360 controller cause headshots were so easy.
The developers can stop worrying about the Metacritic ratings now. With MW3 just sold 10 million copies, there really is no point in fearing poor ratings. I see some trends like this. A product will be considered a success if it sold over millions of copies despite it's poor review while on the other hand a good product with a good review can still be considered a failure if it did not achieve large amount of profits
I really hope developers will stop doing this DLC bullshit, I liked it better when there were expansion packs. So much more content :saddowns: I mean just look at the 1942 expansion packs, :v: Or BF2 SF, that was a nice expansion pack.

Even DXHR3 costed 44€ for preorder, and thats the normal non augmented edition. And who the hell buys a guide for a FPS? Just because the things are there to be bought, doesn't means you HAVE to buy them you know. Again, I say: I have payed 0€ for any DLC, because I don't have any at all, and will keep on going like that. They let the money talk for itself. Besides, user reviews are a joke for mw3.
ITT: Butthurt fanboys complain about an obviously unfair fight. MW3 just got tons of bad ratings from upset BF3 fanboys who never touched the game, sounds pretty unfair if you ask me.
The Singleplayer is actually really great. Multiplayer is the same old generic CoD with new guns. I think this game deserves about a 6 or 7.
First page is filled with people who haven't even played the damn thing who watch gameplay and rate anyway.
What are you talking about, I played quite a bit of this game. I borrowed Modern Warfare 2 off of a friend for like a month.

Think of how much work any developer puts into a game. 60 dollars is a solid price for a game that has year[s] of work into it, and if you can't afford to dish out an extra twenty bucks for it, then stop complaining.
60 dollars is a solid price for a game that has year[s] of work into it,
Seem like you missed the focal point of his criticism entirely: what he meant was that while the game HAS had years of work put into it by proxy, everyone already gave them $60 for those years because this game is mostly recycled content.
