Google hopes to undermine Apple's Maps alternative with a few tricks of their own

My guess with the "will get people where they want to go -- both physically and virtually" is there with be a mechanic that will plot out route directions, point to the cheapest (or sponsored) modes of transport for that trip and give lists of sights, landmarks and points-of-interests for the trip.
But 'get people where they want to go -- both physically and virtually' it's pretty much anyone's guess wtf they are talking about with that, could be very interesting
Obviously Google has cracked the secret of teleportation.
They're going to add multiplayer dog fighting in the flight simulator!
Then it'd be perfect.
First I thought that seemed silly.
Then I thought about it. Massivly multiplayer dogfights. All players on a single server. It would be...
Fucking brilliant!
Probably my biggest dislike of iOS personally is that the Maps application is lacking, it can't replace a GPS device like the Google Navigation on Android can.
Hoping iOS 6 fixes that.
To be honest compared to nokia drive I don't trust google nav one bit.
I heard some kids got to see some Google employees in Toronto cause they want to introduce some feature to Google Maps where you pay 1 or 2 cents and you click on like some tourist attraction and it tells you what it is basicly.
Sounds interesting, course this was a couple weeks ago so I have no idea if Google bought the idea but yeah, its cool that a grade 10 and two grade 11's got flown out to Toronto by Google to discuss it.
Edit: They go to some rival school where I live.

I've been using Google nav for 2 years now, it has worked flawlessly throughout that even when I lost my data connection half way through.
I don't see why apple thinks it's a good idea to use their own map system, gmap works fine on iOs and is fucking awesome to work with
Unless they can beat that, I'm looking forward to the new gmaps and iOs6 maps
