As long as standards don't lower I'm fine with it. If you can hump a M2 receiver 20 miles without falling out I'm good. If you have to lower the standards that's a problem. Combat roles are just that, combat. You are expected to fight, and you'll be at the front lines. If your inability to keep up holds everyone back you have now become a liability to not only yourself but the rest of your platoon.

If everything is measured equally, there is no problem with Women in the armed forces what so ever, but almost EVERY country that I know of so far, has had some "differences" in training and combat training in the forces. Which means that they may NOT perform as well and ends up being a liability in combat.

In the navy, for 18 year old males 47 pushups is considered barely satisfactory, for females it's an outstanding which is the highest grade you can get and it directly reflects their evaluation.

As for the actual thread topic, I think this is fine. Warfare has changed a lot, and about the only position you could argue against putting women in is infantry. But as long as they keep the same standards they've always had it should be fine.
