James Cameron will only make 'Avatar' movies from now on

It looked really good in Imax 3D but when I saw it on TV it looked like a cartoon.
James is dead to me.

Every time someone posts this I get really sad because I haven't heard any news since the trailer was released like a year ago.

But...but...Terminator...The Abyss...hell, even Titanic is worthy of respect in my opinion.
Would be better to see a full blown war movie with the effects that he used in Avatar.

They're okay. Not nearly as good as everyone seems to think.

haha no
sometimes i get the impression that he should have made a fake nature documentary about the world he made rather than trying to make a story, it was a really pretty movie but not much else
This so much, alien life/speculative evolution documentaries like Wayne Barlowe's Expedition are the best thing ever.
Talking about Barlowe, if Cameron makes another movie set on Pandora's universe it better have Barlowe as a creature designer again
Christ, it's like this is straight out of the onion
I hope the next one features the corporation that hired the mercenaries before sending a small detachment of warships to glass Pandora with a series of calculated orbital bombardments, followed by limited deployment of well equipped grounds forces to clean up stragglers. Imagine the visuals Cameron could do for showing an entire continent suddenly disappearing in a wave of fire and atomic death.
Avatar 2: Planet Cracking, Exterminatus style
i honestly didn't find anything wrong with avatar, but i don't think it deserves squeals.
How about an Arnold Schwarzenegger avatar? :v:
Holy shit give this man your millions
Hearing that the man behind Terminator 2, Titanic, and Aliens will stick to the shitstain of a franchise that is avatar is really sad. I was hoping to see him go back writing/directing something that isn't as black and white and stupid as Avatar, now I'm not sure if that will ever happen.
Avatar was so generic and overly-cliched, even for a Hollywood film.
The whole plot felt like it would be from one episode from some Sci-Fi Saturday morning cartoon, not even a "to be continued" or 2 part episode.
Next Avatar stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, only reason Arni went back to making movies!!!
Xenomorphs invade Pandora.
I would pay 30 bucks for a ticket to that.

alien vs blue alien
I want a fucking Half-Life 2 movie dammit
Am i the only person who really enjoyed avatar
It made nearly 3 billion at the box office, so yes you are the only person who liked it.

I give it a 6 purely because of the effects really. All it's good for is dramatic eyecandy
thats it

Cameron would fuck it up :v:
Time to watch Plinkett's review of Avatar again.
In the end, they're just Garbage Pale Kids.
I'd rather see District 10
I'd prefer it if Cameron bought back the rights to Terminator and started making them again.
Does this mean we'll never get a Titanic 2?

Watch it I dare you

the first one had a pretty nature message
but it was so fucking predictable and unlovable at many times
i still love this thing and the floating mountain thingies though

I liked Avatar, and if he decided that those are the only movies he wants to make, more power to him. I anticipate more incredible visuals as time progresses, and I didn't mind the story. Sure it was cliche but if you go in expecting it to be the holy grail, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I'll probably see the new movies when they come out because paying a few bucks to see them is more worth my time than complaining about how he is a hack because he isn't doing what I want him to do.
