Reminds me of how the US Military destroys any weapons they capture. Unfortunately, that means all kinds of WW2 era bolt-actions, SMG's, MG's, and yes StG-44's, get blown up.
That looks in really good condition for how old/how used it is
Came straight back from the field and probably was kept in a box with a uniform or something. She found it and decided to turn it in immediately. All she saw was a gun her dad brought back from the war, not a priceless piece of history.
Wow, rude. Yeah I totally would rather have those killing people than being used in museums WORLD WIDE in remembrance of a horrific war. Totally.
i would rather have them in the hands of an oppressed people than deactivated we already have a shit ton of them in museums worldwide. they're only rare in america because we don't let in any full-autos that havent been registered before '86.
Antique guns like these should be excluded from standard ownership and import rules, it's so hard to find these on American markets
Reminds me of that one ass hole who let some artist in sanfransico melt down his fathers 1911 that he carried in WWII to turn it into a piece of art.
Oh god, just reading that made me cringe at first, then it just made me angry as ardent fan of 1911's especially m1a1's that are vintage.

Your borderline saying you wished they were being used to kill people. Even if they kept them to fight with, that gun is a logistic problem with ammo and could be sold to buy more easily-supplyable Ak-47s. And you want this why? So its Full-Auto mechanism isn't deactivated...... It is history at this point, and should be spread to musuems/gun collectors/and places that would take care of them across the world.

Are you fucking telling me that she had it melted down and turned into an anti-gun message? Why why why why why why. WHY. WHHHHHY
Wait. Are you fucking telling me that she had it melted down and turned into an anti-gun message? Why why why why why why. WHY. WHHHHHY
Yes, there are artists who enjoy welding guns together into various boring shapes like cubes to make a "statement". I've seen murals made of guns exclusively from specific eras like WW2, WW1 or the Civil War for example.

I wasn't even taking sides with the rebels. Just explaining how fucked up your statement was. But it was a very clever joke. So I guess I am dumb for not seeing that. Are you retarded? Using some Punctuation might be a good start.
I'm no expert, but doesn't it use unique "short rounds" or something? I've read it before but I'm not too sure.
7.92x33mm Kurz (kurz means short). it's a shortened version of 7.92x57mm Mauser. they're unique to the gun.
i'd rather have these guns be used to death in war rather than being deactivated and hung in a museum for ameriburgers to gawk at (even though these examples are pristine) anyway, i'd kill to have one of these in 7.62x39.
all brits drink tea, all french are cowards, all black people steal, all indians smell bad, etc. etc. You are the worst kind of person for hanging on to the dumb stereotype that all americans are fat and dumb, even worse than the americans who actually are fat and dumb. Congrats.
I always get mixed up on German ammo in WWII, and I can't even name a single Japanese round.
to be fair, neither can most WWII nuts they had 6.5x50mm Arisaka, 7.7x58 Arisaka, 8x22mm Nambu, 7x20mm Nambu, 9x22mmR Type 26 Revolver, and a few other non-infantry rounds that were used in crew served or vehicle mounted weapons

eh it's just a gun
why would you try to turn in something from world war 2 that shit is priceless I mean I understand if she doesn't know about guns, I don't either but it was from world war 2 god damn
Except a ton of shit was made for world war 2? I'd imagine the price of something like one of those mass-production german guns that looked like a couple bits of plumbing would be pretty low
