Tatar tribes were conquered by the Mongols and than the Mongols kind of just assimilated into them.
Incase you mofos didn't know, the Tatars had their own Khanate during the 1500-1600s while the Ottoman Empire considered them a territory.

They were also super huge into the slave trade to the point where it was literally part of their culture and you weren't considered a man until you captured one.
