Should we continue letting Duterte lynch drug users wantonly without diplomatic objection just because he was democratically elected?

So even if you completely disagree with what he's doing you should just turn over?

you are the least Rick of the Ricks.
I say let the democratically elected leader of a country do what he campaign to do.
I'm going to oppose him because that's my democratic right.

Democracy usually involves going with the choice of the majority, so in the case of the US I wouldn't put too much weight on that word.
My god, 825k in only a few short hours.

Personally I think weird women in pools lobbing weapons at people would be a significantly more democratic system than the electoral college.
I say let the democratically elected leader of a country do what he campaign to do.
How is this relevant? He wasn't democratically elected in UK, and neither did he campaign to have a state visit in the UK. And if he did/was, anyone would still be in their full democratic right to oppose him.
Added. The least I can do.
garry retweeted it so you guys better follow in our prophet's perfect example
Signed it. If he tries visiting London you can bet he'll be met with giant protests, I'll gladly attend them too.
Leaning heavily to the overcautious side, would holding dual citizenship and signing this breech the Logan Act?
I say let the democratically elected leader of a country do what he campaign to do.
Democracy doesn't (or at least, shouldn't) suddenly take a break after each election.

thank god i have a uk passport
I would ask Non-Brits not sign this - it is intended for British citizens and residents. People used foreigners signing the Brexit petition as a sign it was fake and not representative of
Please don't do this, in some countries like Singapore, it is illegal to have any influence on a foreign country.
But if you like to be on the watchlist, sure.
i hope your queen, who actually served in ww2 against the actual nazis (i know a stretch...) uninvites hitler 2.0 from visiting
Doesn't banning him from visiting the UK make us just as bad as him?
And herein lies the problem.
Almost none of you in this thread read the petition you're signing. Not once does it suggest banning him from entering the UK.
Just hit 886k, I got a feeling we're gonna see a million.

Yeah the petition is specifically stating that his state visit should be recalled, he'll still be able to come into the country, this is just to stop him from having a 1 to 1 with the royal family and government.

Which is utterly unrealistic. He is the leader of the largest economy in the world. No British Government... Labour, Conservative or otherwise would ever not invite him or discuss with him relevant policy.
An official state visit in this matter would simply stop him from visiting the Monarchy, but it's entirely up to the UK Government to decide if that is to occur or not.

Pretty much, but again this petition is more an act of protest than anything else.
I don't see it doing anything other than giving a hint of "we don't like what X is doing", if it'll come to anything is a whole different kettle of fish.

I mean, good luck with that I guess? It's no use anymore, If America voted Trump, you get Trump. and If Trumby gets shoo'd off the White House, someone far worse will start doing his job instead, Pence.

Something tells me a LOT of the people signing this are not from the UK/have citizenship in the UK.
Really hard to say, there are a lot of british expats

It won't amount to anything because it'll be too much of a faux pas to deny him an official state visit, but I signed it anyway because fuck Trump.

You know we used to be an empire right? Most of those born before the Thatcher years have part british citizenship and can still access british citizenship, adding to that are those living overseas.
Between 1949 and 1982, birth in the UK or a Crown Colony was sufficient in itself to confer the status of Citizen of United Kingdom and Colonies (CUKC) irrespective of the status of parents, although only CUKCs with a connection to the UK (i.e, birth in the UK or has a UK-born parent or grandparent) would have right of adobe in the UK after 1971 and would eventually become British citizens in 1983. CUKCs without a connection to the UK would become either British Overseas Territories citizens or British Overseas citizens in 1983 depending on whether they have a connection with another BOT.

A child born outside the UK on or after 1 January 1983 (or outside a British Overseas Territory on or after 21 May 2002) automatically acquires British citizenship by descent if either parent is a British citizen otherwise than by descent at the time of the birth.
The former British Empire spanned 127 different territories and, at one time, ruled over a third of the world’s population. The decolonisation process in the last century meant that many old forms of British nationality were passed down from one generation to the next and some are still available today.
Your point would probably apply to less than 1% of the non-UK people who signed that.

Likely to be expats signing in their timezones since there's so littleasy compared to actual GB count
