this is a pc game you can change the resolution
I had morrowind on my xbox 1
I hope they use fast travel like they did in Morrowind.
I tried playing Morrowind, only I had to use it on the 360. Didn't work out very well. Got to the part where you see the guy fall out of the sky, and then died trying to do the same thing. In another story, there's a countess that I've always hated. Huge bitch, always talking down to my badass Khajiit, etc. She's the one that goes on walks with her attendant around woods. Well, a random point in time, I read "Countess Alessia has been knocked unconscious." I finally found her attendant's body at a random point in the woods. Oh, how much gold I would give to have seen that scene play out.

I hope it's just me but I don't see any shadows. Looks pretty good either way.
I am hyped for this game. Wolves look much smarter then they were in Oblivion. That alone makes me happy.

Why is it that most people who play TES games think that if Skyrim's not IDENTICAL to Morrowind, it's shit? As for fast travel, I just will myself to not use it. Have a long-term goal that involves travelling a lot (Like the Mages guild intro quests) and just have as wild an adventure as possible on the way. It probably helps that I fucking love forests and will never tire of them.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/rYCum.jpg[/img_thumb]
gamebyro :frown:
Yes, this is what we're talking about, you pay a caravan, or ride your horse to fast travel, and you can watch a cinematic of what your character sees and you can take control at any time. The speed up or slow down is just so you can see only what you'd like to see. And, this would follow roads to the cities, and if a road ends, it finds the safest path to the next road, and so on. So, essentially it's "Random Encounters" fast travel combined with paying a service, or using a service you own, except you watch all of your fast travel, not just the "Random Encounters" part.
that would be hilariously bad though, do you have any idea how stupid fast motion would look?
We can only hope they don't pull an Arcania on this one. That game was so promising up until the very last.
Here are the skills that I think might be merged: -Mysticism (already stated) -Athletics and Acrobatics -Security and Sneak -Speechcraft and Mercantile They might even merge all of these skills but give us some new ones.
I am actually very okay with that thought, because I usually get all of those.
gamebyro :frown:
A game that looks like elderscrolls isn't necessarily gamebryo. When will people get this. Fucking bandwagons.

I'd like a random encounter system associated with it, but other than that I don't have a serious problem with it. When I want to explore, I do so. Choose a direction that appears to have a gap on my map and go. Even when I'd already explored areas I often wound up choosing to simply ride to the next town instead of fast traveling simply because I enjoyed the trip. But when I felt like I was pressed for time or didn't feel like making the journey, I could fast travel and be done instantly. It isn't a bad feature.
Yeah, if you want to have a Morrowind like game experience, play Morrowind. Beth. likes taking a new direction with their new games. Also about the shadows, if you look on the rocks below the tower thing you can see some self shadowing. That picture isn't a good display of the shadow effects, look at some of the darker ones.
Creatures who may get in the way of your sword include: skeletons, large spiders, and of course, green failed cow models that explode.
About fast travel; Bethesda needed to make the game more suitable for all players. That's why they included it, even if the majority of all morrowind players and maybe even some beth dev's didn't want it. Most common FPS players does not want to walk all the way back to a town, with barely any encounters or events just to turn in a quest. They want to get there fast, turn in the quest and continue with other stuff. If someone hates fast travel, I've got a tip: don't use it. It's doesn't get any easier, hell there are even mods that disable fast travel. It's a single player game, not multiplayer. You're not competing against a human being so no one really gives a shit if you like fast travel or not; it's a feature, you don't have to use it.

it was the rocks man, they looked like gamebyro rocks. the rocks man....
If it actually comes out on christmas, then it's not THAT far.
Still, it's quite far away.
If it actually comes out on christmas, then it's not THAT far.
Yeah man. Just a year.
Yeah man. Just a year.
A year is not a lot. One year is a damn short time.
A year is not a lot. One year is a damn short time.
When you look back, sure - a year goes by so fast it's not even funny. But when you are in the year, time flows slowly.
