Oblivion was fun, doing everything would get you about 100 hours worth
Oblivion was fun, doing everything would get you about 100 hours worth
I thought it was sixty hours. Either way, I actually did everything on one playthrough. Truly felt as if I had no life after completion. And yet, here I am on my twentieth playthrough.
Magazine scans: http://www.gamingeverything.com/2011/1/elder_scrolls_v_scans
Holy fucking shit this is going too be FUCKING AMAZING :gizz:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In-City dragon battles? Holy shit.
It looks a lot like Oblivion. Not a bad thing.
It looks a lot like Oblivion. Not a bad thing.
Oblivion without Gamebryo and a more realistic art style. I don't think it can get much better.

I take it that polearms and crossbows won't be present? :( I loved them in Morrowind... don't have a clue why they removed them. [editline]8th January 2011[/editline]
I take it that polearms and crossbows won't be present?
Combat will be more “dynamic and tactical” and you will assign each hand a function. Stamina is wasted by sprinting, and the emphasis by the dev team this time around was improving combat and the feel of weaponry in your hands.
Actually, I just realized that commenting on any segment of the article is useless because the entire article is full of so much awesomeness I'd just be repasting the whole thing. People fighting over a weapon you dropped? Fucking. Amazing.
Magazine scans: http://www.gamingeverything.com/2011/1/elder_scrolls_v_scans
Holy motherfucking shit.
Nooooo. My pesduo bank system is now uselss
First thing I'll do is drop 20,000 gold and 6 swords in the streets.

Well, in that picture there it says "Race: Dark Elf". :woop: [editline]8th January 2011[/editline] Pointing out the obvious here but still
Oh shit, spiders.
level-scaling will behave more like Fallout 3 and less like Oblivion

level-scaling will behave more like Fallout 3

level-scaling
Fuck.
I hope I'll still be able to level up acrobatics and athletics so I can make super jumps :(
Huh, I hope that their new leveling system will work in the Elder Scrolls series. Would hate to be restricted by poor designing choices.
This.. this is.. I'm at a loss for words..
Fuck.
Why can't they just scrap the whole level scaling thing?
i like it and dislike it at the same times fits in some areas, doesn't in others.
Nooooo. My pesduo bank system is now uselss
Oh my god I will spend literally HOURS just fucking around with this. I'll just drop a piece of jewelery in an impoverished area and watch the fists fly.
Oooh! they're bringing back enchanting! I hope it is like Morrowind's since with enough magic you could make your self the robe of everlasting-burning cape of magic. Wear it at the day you incinerate, BUT at night You get a MASSIVE magic boost. Or I could remake the "Boots of shit storm" Which had a negative effect on all my skills, except it made my character run extremely fast.
Those scans are pure SEX. Now just have to wait for High Quality screenshots. And gameplay :q:
Judging by the new features there will be a LOT more ways to do various shenanigans and be abusive towards NPCs and enemies. In short: Oblivion v.20.0: Can't fucking wait.
This will be hundreds times better than Oblivion, can't wait for it.
Y'know, I found quite a bit of interest in what they said On Weapons Smithing: Go to a forge and carve a new weapon out of red hot metal. Does this mean we'll be able to acquire metal and use it at a forge to craft a new weapon? Well, it'd certainly be a step-up from the "use Repair Hammer on Armour" kinda deal that Oblivion had. Hope one can craft Armour too, for that matter. Also, I hope they're keeping Alchemy in. That was my favourite skill back in Oblivion.
wasn't there some scare that as the dragonborne you wouldn't be able to choose your race? It says that you're probably the last surviving one. [editline]8th January 2011[/editline]
Fuck.
Fallout 3 was more like Morrowind. You could find Deathclaws at level one if you really tried, it just is a bit harder, that's all. [editline]8th January 2011[/editline] Anyhow, this game looks like it will blow me away, just like when Oblivion came out.
