Everything about this game is going to suck so badly. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] *drops a wooden spoon while exploring the lava caves* *every single npc in the game makes a beeline for my position and soon 300 people all of whom are on fire surround me and inform me that I dropped it in in voices that mix together into a whirring hum and my video card literally melts through my floor* [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] if you murder the shopkeeper who gives you the quest to find 10 deer pelts and walk outside immediately upon re-entering the shop his daughter will be running it and will ask you to find 10 deer pelts in the same voice as the guy you murdered but her face will be scrunched up in an angry expression
What happens if you murder the girl?!
What happens if you murder the girl?!
her dog starts giving you the quests i hope that just like last time i can talk to mudcrabs about rumours
I still don't see how this game can possibly be better than witcher 2.
IIRC Bethseda has the makers of DM:M&M helping on this game. The combat will be jizz worthy.
Preorder :f5:
Duel Wielding! Woooo!
Can't wait to dual wield shields :v:
Best offence is a good defense! wait
Best defence is good offence? "The Best Defence, that's me!"
I hope they really change the level scaling, in oblivion it is actually better to never level up and just let your skills increase themselves
Can't wait for this, but its another 11 months.
Can't wait for this, but its another 11 months.
Which will, most likely, pass really quickly after all. Or that's what happened to me last year with Black Ops - thinking "darn, 4 more months" and suddenly it was November. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] Of course, it's 11 instead of 4 here - but it will come down to 4 eventually!

2011 a good year for rpgs? Me3, this and witcher.
The only thing I'm worried about is how they'll out-do Oblivion in terms of size. As Skyrim is noticeably smaller, will they have five major cities and small towns? Basically, what will make Skyrim seem bigger than Oblivion?
the land masses are already terribly scaled game to game anyway if they want more room than oblivion they'll add it
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/RockPaperShotgun/~3/56mBBrXK28w/
oh god I skipped the word on in "there’s no word on modding the PC version." I was afraid.
2011 a good year for rpgs? Me3, this and witcher.
Yeah, well let's just hope Mass Effect 3 is less of a corridor-shooter than Mass Effect 2 was.
I LOVE these changes, sweet! :D [editline]9th January 2011[/editline]
Yeah, well let's just hope Mass Effect 3 is less of a corridor-shooter than Mass Effect 2 was.
Indeed, it was a bit disappointing.
In-City dragon battles? Holy shit.
In-City Dragon marriages...Sorry what the fuck am i thinking.
I'm okay with oblivion and fallout having anime mods, because it's too late for them. The scans for Skyrim though... They were so beautiful... If anyone dare mod in a anime girl with a skimpy latex outfit and tiny bitch arms, wielding a sword the size of Japan, I will find the modder, AND OBLITERATE HIM (HER). Can the imperial city guards be in this game? please?
didnt morrowind have a level scaling with daedra
I'm hoping Skyrim will be more like Morrowind in that it's not watered down like Oblivion. Morrowind is a good discriminator for a RPG as people will either pick it up and learn it as they play or realise they suck and give up after failing to beat a few rats. Oblivion just plays it safe and as such waters down the game. However for Skyrim I like the idea of developing your character as you go, it'd be a good way to encourage the player to really think about how he or she wants to evolve his or her character. I'm hoping a hardcore mode like from New Vegas is introduced as well. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline]
didnt morrowind have a level scaling with daedra
I forgot the specifics, but I can recall that I got absolutely dominated by Daedra at level 2 but they were as easy as rats at level 50. I hope the level scaling in Skyrim will not only make the enemies level with you but as you level up they adopt tactics more often such as exploiting weaknesses more often. Anyways, although I'm hoping for level scaling I however would like dungeons which start off with harder enemies unaffected by scaling as a way of setting pace for the game, because it's not natural for someone using as little as a dagger and no armour to be able to attack a Daedric dungeon successfully.
I still don't see how this game can possibly be better than witcher 2.
Get the FUCK out
I think the level scaling will be like this: Assuming base troll skill is "20" Player level: 1, troll skill: 20 Player level: 5, troll skill: 20 Player level: 15, troll skill: 23 Player level: 20, troll skill: 24 Player level: 25, troll skill: 25 Player level: 30, troll skill: 26 Player level: 35, troll skill: 26 And Troll Skill stays as a constant after the level 30 is reached, so you can pummel the fucking shit out of the troll at higher levels. But at lower levels, you are still feeding the troll, but it does progressively get easier.
