is anyone else imagining fighting a dragon with Dark Messiah type combat?

Have fun :buddy: [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] aw fuck one of them's deleted. :ohdear:
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/HPyLL.jpg[/img_thumb]
This face looks human, whats the catch?
It's the same scans everywhere on the web, i wish someone else with a better scanner could scan them properly
I hope they actually do the radiant AI thing this time. It was supposed to be in oblivion but it got scrapped. Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zsxl7l1otUE [editline]9th January 2011[/editline]
It's the same scans everywhere on the web, i wish someone else with a better scanner could scan them properly
These are leaked scans. You're probably gonna have to wait until february to see better pictures. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] I'm loving how you can duel any NPC if the NPC is up to it.
Where are the horses? :ohdear:
I can't see how they will possibly be able to include kids in this game. I mean, have they seen how fucked up some of the mods for Oblivion are? [editline]8th January 2011[/editline] Guarantee you everyone would kill every kid they'd come across hoping they had some gold on them. [editline]8th January 2011[/editline] Gah... Fucking auto-merge how does it work...
Those modders have no mercy for the kids... Just look at some fallout 3 mods
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/HPyLL.jpg[/img_thumb] All the scans that I found back when they were first popping up on /v/. Have fun :buddy:
Oh wow, An actually attractive looking person in an Elder Scrolls game.
I don't want fucking EVERY WILDLIFE ATTACKING you I mean why would a bear, wolf,or rat come and attack you for no reason
:psyduck: How did I manage to read your post as that?!
On that note, dismemberment would be cool as well. You could never 'slicing-and-dicing' in Oblivion because you could never actually slice off limbs. I remember one time in Fallout 3 I chopped up a bunch of Raiders and stuck them in a freezer. :buddy:
Get the FUCK out
No. :smug:
Would be nice if you could place items in neat piles like you could in Morrowind. I had a gigantic library that I filled with every single book in the game. Plus having a towering pillar of books look awesome.
I don't want fucking EVERY WILDLIFE ATTACKING you I mean why would a bear, wolf,or rat come and attack you for no reason
I think they stated that this wont happen in one of the scans. Did they say anything of a different combat system?
I think they stated that this wont happen in one of the scans. Did they say anything of a different combat system?
Rats not attacking the player? It turns everything i know about TES upside down.
It would be cool if rats weren't bigger than cats, but rather normal sized. Maybe that's why there aren't any cats in Oblivion, all the rats ate them. :ohdear:
I've been playing Morrowind like crazy, and y'know what? I hope they don't do level-scaling. At all. It's why I'm enjoying this ancient, decrepit thing. You can be level one and you'll get the shit knocked out of you unless you start off slow. If you're level 50? All but the mightiest warriors tremble under your boot. In Oblivion and Fallout, I never felt that. No matter how strong I got, shit around me just got stronger too. :v:
So if they tailor quests (I assume only some) to your character, in what fashion do they tailor them? Does a mage get magic vulnerable or magic resistant creatures? Is the goal to make it more or less challenging? What happens to a stealth character? While I like the concept of the game changing things based on how I play, I'm not sure I agree with this sort of change. Though dynamically generating quests in nearby dungeons which you haven't explored is pretty neat in its own right.
-Kids. HOLY SHIT! /caps
[editline]10th January 2011[/editline] -Kids HOLY SHIY /caps [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] Messed my last post up, any ways, sounds like it's going to be a fantastic game. My only concern is the modding part, since they didn't mention it, hopefully it'll be a big surprise.

It would allow players to enjoy the class they make. And play how they want to play.

Humanoids have levelled gear, and harder monsters spawn the higher your level.

And play how they want to play.
Yeah but how would you generate that dynamically? It is the same problem as level scaling. You never feel exceptionally powerful OR weak. I want my abilities to be significantly more useful in some situations while they put me at a distinct disadvantage as others. As a stealth character I WANT to occasionally be thrown into situations where my stealth abilities fail me and I have to get creative. But I don't want the game artificially architecting missions which are intentionally designed to defeat OR augment my abilities.
Enemies scale to your level in Morrowind too. Humanoids have levelled gear, and harder monsters spawn the higher your level.
Not as dramatically. There is leveled loot here and there, and a few harder monsters will spawn, but there is a limit. An upper and lower. In Oblivion, I found myself equally matched with every random bandit I came across.
Looks like fun.

Won't fast travel just make casual players go "Fuck scenery!"?
Too bad I have integrated graphics
Won't fast travel just make casual players go "Fuck scenery!"?
Like it did in Oblivion?
Like it did in Oblivion?
Yes, but Oblivion's scenery wasn't exactly that breathtaking.
I hated Oblivion but after seeing the pictures and reading a bit about it, and seeing that its supposed to be released this year I got a bit interested. Hope it really comes out in November though and doesn't get delayed. I'm eager to see if they pushed the franchise forward in a meaningful way.
