There's something tragic about American politicians targeting porn when the sex education in many states is still considered abysmal
Well it was made for military and science purposes but close enough
I'm pretty sure that's a small meme, "the internet is for porn"
I'm pretty sure that's a small meme, "the internet is for porn"
Fair enough, but besides the point of the thread completely. Porn does give unrealistic expectations about sex to people which is its main harm. The other is an addiction to porn which leads to chemical imbalance in testosterone levels too.

Is it really that hard to understand it's all fantasy? Are there really a vast majority of people out there too stupid to understand that a pizza can be paid for with sex if there's no money in her wallet?

Of course, the world of Pizza Prostitution (Pizzatution) can be hard to come back from. How many friends and colleagues have been lost to the dark underbelly of food delivery services? I can only imagine.

Among her findings was a marked tendency among boys to approach girls they liked in a sexually aggressive manner. “That is a trend,” she tells me. “There’s no question about it.” Source is in quote, the big disconnect Long ass article about this subject http://hungarianreview.com/article/20140706_sex_on_the_brain_what_brain_plasticity_teaches_about_internet_porn Book https://books.google.ee/books?hl=en&lr=&id=xhB-wrR4LuAC&oi=fnd&pg=PR11&dq=Pornography+expectations+&ots=hQYROpFPzR&sig=Ftvm4nmkyyL-MN7w-6tPwdDidlE&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=Pornography%20expectations&f=false P. So.. anyone who agrees or goes along with this is pretty much willfully surrendering personal liberty without a fight, how American is that? Not that they could ever actually pass legislation based on this bs.

Anyway the party platforms are usually only there to placate the far fringe elements of a party, the last one had stuff like repeal healthcare reform, repeal the wasteful EPA, roll back don't ask (as in make them able to ask and kick you out again), make roe v wayde illegal through legislation, these platforms don't necessarily reflect much though in the modern times when everything is now online and easily searchable, having a hard hit insane platform is kind of off-putting, certainly I didn't care for the 2012 one either
Maybe they want to ban it because it's kinkier when it's illegal
TBH porn probably does have a not so great effect on a young males' minds but that does not justify this.
So.. anyone who agrees or goes along with this is pretty much willfully surrendering personal liberty without a fight, how American is that? Not that they could ever actually pass legislation based on this bs.
Anything on the platform couldn't be passed

People get awful desires and fetishes that they'll never get anyone to agree to participate in, and they can come to dominate their sexual thoughts. Being exposed to pornography which does actually depict the acts does not help in this regard. "That's just a fantasy" isn't going to cut it.
wasn't there a study that Traditional Red states was the heaviest consumer of Porn?
The GOP is more a public health crisis than pornography.
Banning is definitely too much. I have to agree with other posters in this thread that porn isn't good for the psyche, especially a lot of it. I can honestly say id love to go back in time and not watch any porno at whatever age I started to now. I suppose that's the "cost of freedom" or whatever
