If we default, every politician should be charged for treason. This is complete and total horseshit that they are allowing this worst case scenario to become reality. Fucking pathetic.
Everyone except Cubemanv2
fuck obama. fuck congress. fuck the public for voting them in. fuck hope.
Sadly the political system is based upon not voting for the best candidate, but the least shitty candidate. Forced to vote for Obama over Romney.

They problem is that everyone who wants a third option gets into this line of thinking and then those who do vote outside of the two parties are too small of a group to matter. If only 3rd parties had a chance here... I voted for a third party candidate but sadly his party didn't even get 5% - the threshold needed to allow that party government funding for campaigning next election.

I would vote for a third party, but I (and many others) feel that their vote would be more valuable when used to prevent somebody from getting into office by voting for the person they are opposing.

Why did you guys elect these monkeys? You're holding the world's economy hostage.
Why did you guys elect these monkeys? You're holding the world's economy hostage.
most of us didn't elect them, but political extremism on the right is partially responsible. see, growing political extremism on the left is impossible here because everyone is irrationally terrified of socialism, so there are no equalizers. furthermore, there's a lot of confirmation bias and entrenchment into beliefs. republicans watch fox news and affirm themselves, because it's what they want to hear. the same is true to a more limited extent with centrists and MSNBC. plus the economy isn't actually recovering at all for anyone but the top percentiles, and extremism is inherent in poor economic conditions.

There is a small group of leftists in the US, but everyone hears Socialism and instantly thinks of Communism and "the enemy." What we actually just want is workers to control their own work.
So goddamn annoying that the US is a superpower and can affect everyone's lives even though your politics are a total mess. Why the hell I on the other side of the world from you must get affected financially just because the Republicans are a huge bunch of cunts?
Have Romania declare war on the U.S. Problem = solved.

I sure hope america doesn't default and it's some sort of unlikely but plausible worst case scenario. I was saving up to move me, my mother and hopefully my brother to the US or Canada since Pakistan, particularly my city Karachi, have gotten worse, law and order wise. You know the Detroit in Robocop? Think worse than that. Anyway I really hope this worst case doesn't happen because I am literally this close. The US government shutting down(lack of a better phrase for that, correct me if wrong) just complicated getting my mom a citizenship.
Outcome: China recollects debt. US falls. Mexico and Japan fall. AUSTRALIA FALLS NOOOOOOOOOOO! Then China and Canada win! Hey Canada! Wanna be best friends?
Outcome: China recollects debt. US falls. Mexico and Japan fall. AUSTRALIA FALLS NOOOOOOOOOOO! Then China and Canada win! Hey Canada! Wanna be best friends?
Canada is best friends with everyone.

Anyone with views left of Democrat are deemed "socialist" (as if it's a bad thing) or "communist" (aka stalinist), but anyone with views further right than republicans are not considered "nazi" or "fascist". Oh the wonderful double standard of American political extremism. [editline]14th October 2013[/editline] Fun Fact: Some American right wing extremists refuse to believe that Nazism and Fascism are right wing ideologies, they believe they are left wing and that the right wing can do no such harm.
This shit scares me more than Y2K or 2012 ever did.
