I hope Wikileaks keeps it up. Assange says they have cables on aliens and UFOs.

Security by Obscurity is just not the way to go.
You forgot the part where they published stolen government documents.
It is not illegal to publish leaked documents, its illegal to actually leak them (at least to the best of my understanding of US law)
I learned something today. Thanks Doggy.
One thing I don't get about this whole Wikileaks thing.
Didn't Julian also leak classified documents form governments?
So why does everybody only really mention the US.
Is it because the government is up in arms about it?

There's a tonne of shit from all over the world (both governments and private companies) on the Wiki which is now unfortunately inaccessible. It just happens that the major leaks over the past year or so have all come from the US (9/11 pager messages, the video, the diaries, now cablegate) due to their insecure systems it seems.
What don't you understand?
If Wikileaks procured them by asking the source, then they're legally in the shitter...
If Wikileaks did not ask them, but published them, there may be some legislation previously enacted that protects the publication of classified documents. This is likely.
And what is most likely, Congress passing retroactive legislation outlawing what Wikileaks is currently doing, allowing them to charge the directors of the organisation for publishing the documents.
And either way, Wikileaks continues not giving a crap since they aren't located in America.

However, Assange can be extradited to face charges. Similar to how he is being (processed to be) extradited to face questioning at the moment.

This is mentioned briefly on the BBC site, and apparently the UK would have to give permission to Sweden for them to extradite him to the US while he has been extradited from the UK. Of course if it happened before the extradition then he would be subject to the UK/US's very one sided extradition treaty (the US do not need to provide any evidence) or if it happened after any subsequent trial in Sweden it would obviously be under where ever he is at that point.
I like how Wikileaks gets blamed for the POTENTIAL missuse by OTHERSof what is IN those documents.
Funny thing is that America spies on the world and somehow manages to get hold of classified information (leak) and yet leaking itself is illegal and they want to make publishing leaks illegal too?
No wonder people support wikileaks. The US doesn't want leaks to happen because they want to have the only right to possess leaks (because possession and internal use isn't illegal).

I believe the other governments targeted by Wikileaks are equally as pissed as the US but are keeping it to themselves to let the US take all the shit from Assange supporters.
As much as i'm for freedom of information, wikileaks must have some serious shit coming our way if the government is willing to go this far.

You're either full of shit or you simply don't know that you can't be punished for something that wasn't a criminal offence when you did it.
I am going to die laughing knowing that people who support these idiots are hurting themselves and the rest of the world.
Agreed.
What most of you supporters of WikiLeaks don't realize is that people within the government work very hard to try and keep some of this shit secret.
Wikileaks doesn't break any laws.
lmao

for a fucking reason too, even regular fucking PEOPLE have these problems to deal with, and wikileaks is the immature little fuck that tells everyone what people think of them
This whole thing is stupid and needs to be stopped.
;26572231']This whole thing is stupid and needs to be stopped.
Agree, just release all the cables already
Even if you think Wikileaks has not broken any laws, or think they did, no one knows until a court case against Wikileaks has ended with a verdict confirming or denying the legality of publishing these documents.
Until then NO ONE knows. So it is the best case for businesses to stop doing business with Wikileaks.

But they don't.
You're either full of shit or you simply don't know that you can't be punished for something that wasn't a criminal offence when you did it.
As I said, you're either blind or just plain ignorant. Look back past a few posts.
Which is completely unconstitutional.
Since when did the US lawmakers give a fuck?
As I said, you're either blind or just plain ignorant. Look back past a few posts.
Without really stating why. It's still unconstitutional.
Austrian TV on the DDoS'ing:
"HACKERZ ATTACK CREDIT CARD COMPANY PAYPAL, DECLARE INTERNET WAR!"
Why are so many people fucking ignorants? The US got fucked balls deep by their own laws, you are allowed to publish anything you want as long as it won't reveal the identitie of spies. So go all fuck yourselfs and get your facts straight.
