Interesting Triva; I've never once criticized Bad Company 2 because it never claimed to be realistic. It was just generally a fun game with alot of humor in it.
I only have anything to say when games claim to be authentic and true-to-life. Modern Warfare did that, we all know how that went.

My thread has become a shitstorm. I think we can all agree that people can have differing opinions about what they do and do not enjoy, now why don't we get back on subject and talk about something relevant.
For instance, I think that second trailer is cool so I'll put it in the OP later, but I'm sleepy so it'll have to wait. It actually pulled me in much more than the one I posted.
I remember watching videos before the release of Modern Warfare where they were at shooting ranges recording sounds for the guns and giving interviews with their military advisers and how realistic and authentic the game would be.

I thought we went over this, only a fool would think military advisers equal absolute realism. They wanted realism in the equipment selection and the like. Not the get shot in the leg, spend six months in the hospital and the rest of your life with a limp.

I'm not nitpicking, Modern Warfare does some completely ridiculous stuff that is common knowledge to anyone with a bit of knowledge of the military.
But since you're sure they wanted realism for equipment they did a good job on the Heart Beat Sensor.
Considering BC2 is the only game to so consistently use the XM8, I’m pretty sure saying the gun lineup is bad means you’re talking at least partially about the XM8.
