Shit how good is your internet? It took me about 7 hours to download. Plus ARMA is hardly worth the wait due to it's horrible engine.
Anyway, I'm tired of arguing with you guys. You have the worst logic and it's beginning to hurt my brain.
I would bitchslap you for pirating it if I could.
I installed it from disc you numbskull.
It's a good engine, it's just not very optimised. Lower your settings until it runs at 60fps man, otherwise it's no good. Granted SP could work better, but it's still good.

You find me an affordable airsoft M1A1 Abrams and we'll talk about replacing Arma II.

A decent AEG from AirsoftGI is like, 90-100 dollars max

Unfortunately, airsoft guns are much more heavily restricted in Canada and as a result, retailers love to jack up the prices and keep their monopoly. Not everyone lives in the US.

You think tanks in ArmA are realistic? Try Steel Beasts.
Combined arms yo.

You’re pretty thick aren’t you?
ITT: Codemonkey and The_Fly arguing and saying the same thing over and over again.
Not everyone has a few hundred dollars to buy a few AEGs imported from Japan not to mention the gear.
Ultimately, ArmA's a better choice.
I think most sites these days have rental gear.

Because ArmA isn't available on steam, I'd would bitchslap you for being an idiot if I could.
this had better be an improvement over the last few Moh games
Agh, stop copying modern warfare, it's not that good.
original devs
so IW, that respawn thingy and the other original devs what didn't go to IW are making the singleplayer
I hope they keep up the tradition of awesome music:

I hear ya. I've spent thousands of dollars on airsoft. Stupid Canadian gun laws :saddowns:
Explosions and physics look crappy.
00:23 on, that's where I started to lose hope. I saw them kick down the door and the instant their muzzle cleared the breach they unloaded into the room like 5.56 was going out of style.
Rules of Engagement, I don't care if you were taking RPG fire from the shack, you don't blindly unload into a room. He points the gun to the left and fires without looking. There could have been a child cowering in the corner for all he knew.
Or the point that the body in the office chair is rigged with explosives so he kicks it out the window and jumps to the floor. That's Hollywood stuff. Sure, it happens but it's so rare that it's not an accurately portrait of war.
All I saw was footage of Special Forces and some views from a chopper, it didn't left something to be desired.
Oh boo fucking hoo.
You're one of those fucking people nobody can please.

Want a realistic depiction of war? Your legs get blown off by an IED five minutes in, and you're a burden to your family, you become hopelessly depressed, your wife leaves you, and you commit suicide. Roll credits.
Game looks really fun, wonder what the MP will be like.
I seriously hope it doesn't have fucking consolitis.
I like how the trailer isn't just "BOOM PEW PEW HOLY SHIT" *cough*CoD: Black Ops*cough*.
One year later: Medal of Honor: Modern Warfare 2
Six Days in Fallujah was supposed to be just that, but we all know how that turned out.
Uh, you do know they're still releasing that, right? A new publisher picked them up, and they're expecting a release date and the end of the year, or early next year.
Back when call of duty 1 came out i tought it was 100X more realistic then medal of honour allied assault where you ran alone trough huge bunkers shooting tons of nazis all the time.
Both were awesome games nothingless.
this is the NEW trailer and it says October 15th

You know what's sad about this? Soldiers everyday make these calls, not knowing if that'll be their last. "I'll be home soon." The sad part about that is some of them don't make it home. Before any of you go "It's just a game", think about what it's based off of. It may just be a game, but what it's derived from is real.
EA doesn't go for as much cash as Activision.
I'm waiting for the ArmA2 Version and the ArmA2 expansion pack to come out. I tried to play PR on BF but it didn't want to start.

I was so excited for that, tragic it didn't get published.

This is the thorn in the lions paws (Bad expression?) Because where as I get my panties in a knot when someone calls a magazine and clip and they arm Russians with TAR21's and other NATO weapons the general public ADORE it because they'll go to school and say, "Yo that deagle is da shit son, I fukin scoring headshots from across the fukin map." Because, it appeals to them to be super men I suppose, but I always found it terribly unrealistic. I like an authentic and believable game.
MW2 storyline may have been a bit far-fetched. But the parts where I was fighting on American soil were pretty incredible from a visual standpoint. I don't mind if the game is a bit far fetched if they do it well, but it would have been better if the EMP didn't lock soldiers in their tanks and drop military choppers from the sky. That's just stupid.
I don't know about the tank part, but...that's what happens when there's an EMP, electrical devices fail, as in, a helicopter would FALL
I will admit, when he kicked the guy in the wheel chair away and jumped to the side that was pretty badass.
Making good use of the military authenticity advisers.
Okay, what do you do if a suicide bomber is in front of you on a wheely chair near a big hole in a wall? And you know the bomb is going off soon. Dont say defuse the bomb.
fucking whiners, i swear.
this game looks incredibly badass.
Um ya, it's war. People die.
this...is..TITS
This is Medal of Honor we're talking about! It was MoH that the ideas behind COD and Battlefield originated.
Yes I hate MW2 and BC2, but MoH has a knack of being as realistic (See: actual realistic, not what CoD defines as realistic...) as possible, while making a very awesome story that, usually, is based on true stories or events.
The same is true here: The story is based on 2 very real military teams. And from the looks of the trailer, they're going for believable Badassness, rather than "ZOMG! SHOCKWAVE IN SPACE!".
I wish they'd stop with the special forces routine, I don't want to be a super hero who runs around with a tacticool gun shooting hundreds of enemies in an action hero-like cliche storyline.
I want an emotional, realistic, gritty experience of an infantry man, I don't want to be elite, I want to be human, I want to have flaws, I want fear breaching a room, I want to fear an RPG, I should fear war. The Gulf War, the Iraq War, Vietnam, Korea any of these wars would fit the bill well and be original (More or less) and have the chance to truely make a unique experience.
Yeah, its a video game, its not real life, or a full length movie.
