I thought about a Red Faction game developed by Valve and had a mini-orgasm.
Why?
I don't understand all this.
Valve is a small company, they have their own IPs to worry about, and they barely have enough people to cover those.
Valve buying ANY of these would be a terrible idea.
I seriously doubt valve will buy anything.
And to be honest,a source version of Red Faction would suck. Why? because source is really shit at destruction (that isn't scripted).
I really liked the original Red Faction.
Shame THQ has come to this :(
I have the strangest feeling, WWE games are now going to get shitter.
In my opinion, WWE 13 was amazing.
Anyone, but NOT EA.
Imagine EA-fyied Saints Row 4, CoH 2, Metro... :(
Well shit, here comes a crappy CoD like Red Faction
Metro and Company of Heroes are scheduled for a March release, I really, reeeeally hope they isn't affected. I've been looking forward to sequels since I finished their predecessors. I'd like Metro to go to Ubisoft. They've shown their quality with Farcry 3.
I'd love Company of Heroes to go to Sega. Some Total War thrown in would be great.
I'm really worried about Company of Heroes 2, CoH is my favourite strategy game of all times probably.

Why did this have to happen, THQ were pretty cool compared to most of the other big publishers.
rockstar should buy out the warhammer games if it's possible. I WANT to see them try to make a future GTA of the Warhammer 40K saga.
It'd be funny if Blizzard got Warhammer :v:

World of Warhammer: Space Marines?
It'd be funny if Blizzard got Warhammer :v:
It would be horrible :v: .
I'm just saying it would be ironic considering they were originally supposed to make Warhammer videogames.
I like their games.

It'd be nice to see one of their specialist lines* get a bit of love, for sure.

i don't mind, I've never read anything among underground crimes in Warhammer 40K, and the police force as well. I can see something can be make to make Warhammer 40K into a GTA game but i think it be more of a spin off like the whole Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games.
I wonder what would happen if gearbox got a hold of Saint's row.

Im pretty sure that was a myth that came up when Starcraft fans and Warhammer 40k fans first began to butt-heads over the fact starcraft was warhammer 40k for kids.
that asside, Blizzard could not do 40k justice, they couldnt keep lore constant for more than a few years on one of their own Interlectual properties, and even then it was goofy and childish to begin with-
imagine how badly they could mess up lore thats 25 + years in the making, that requires a very mature, grimdark and gritty atmopshere at all times, with intresting and complex characters and plots sandwiched between nuggets of dark humor.

Eh, I'm not sure how they'd destroy the lore? Did they do that in Diablo or something?

They did it an awful lot in warcraft. A good example is the fact undead couldnt keep live animals anymore becuase their old family pets and livestock simply saw them as carrion, and had to resort to riding undead horses or hunting with deamonic hounds. this suddenly changed when undead could become hunters, and there was little to no explaination why.

World of Warcraft doesn't count, MMORPGS will always fuck up lore. If they made a Warhammer MMO then yeah maybe the lore would be fucked but that would not exactly be Blizzard exclusive :v:
We will have to agree to disagree on that, i still stand by the fact blizzards writing is not compatible with 40ks atmosphere, the humor isnt the same and many aspects of the story need to be taken immensely seriously. whenever i played a blizzard game ive never been sure if im supposed to be taking it seriously or not. you may like that kind of thing, and if you do thats fine, but it clashes pretty hard with the style of warhammer. it would be like asking disney to make a gritty, 18+, bloodbath, first person shooter.
Very well, deal. I myself have never seen Blizzard's games as unserious, I find that all three of their franchises are pretty gritty to be fair, but I understand what you're saying.
