2 is still my favourite in the series. 3 was just eh and the amount of DLC they strapped onto it was suffocating. No idea how 4's gonna turn out.
Awesome, my girlfriend will be happy. Because of course, I'm downloading it for my gf, not for me... Hehe.. he...
Woah wait, is there a catch somewhere?
The deal ends July 31st 10AM PDT, so if you don't get in before that you're SOL.
The Sims 2 was one of my favorite games as a kid. Fond memories of when I got Open For Business, proceeded to construct a robot, then forced it to sit in the circuit-frying hot tub with a bunch of humans.
I remember having so much goddamn fun with the Sims 2, I'm definitely picking this up.
The catch is that you'll have to manually fix the game yourself. Since the game is so old it won't detect your modern hardware and you'll have to fix resolution and shadows and AA yourself.
god forbid i have to do something i generally speaking have to do to any freshly installed video game from before 2009 like seriously i can't think of a game i don't automatically go and change video settings with when i first install it
Well shit EA... You've got me by the balls here, well guess it's time to finally install Origin. This deal is TOO GOOD to miss.
And of course people will still find a way to go "omg EA are literally hitler" about this
I was repeatedly told off last week for complaining that retail customers got screwed out... so... now I have to think of another reason to complain! Dammit EA, can't do anything right.
EA has just jumped a step above Activision.
EA has just jumped a step above Activision.
Baby steps. No really, just a babies step.
Hell yes, good on them for doing this.
EA we're supposed to hate you stop doing good things.
Woah wait, is there a catch somewhere?
The catch is that this is a 12-13 GB download. That's pretty big, if you didn't know.
I fucking love you guys sometimes! EA Fucking up something: "I fucking hate EA and origin sucks balls!" EA Giving away free stuff: "To be honest I think EA isn't that bad & Origin is really Improving.
The reasons I have an origin account: Battlefield. The reason why I am slowly growing my library in there: Free games.

EA Giving away free stuff: "To be honest I think EA isn't that bad & Origin is really Improving.
EA IS awful, it's Origin that's improving. I just want more competition to Steam, and only GOG seem to be offering it.
Good on them. I've not played 2 in ages, its going to be weird getting used to loading screens when moving between lots.
It's gonna be weird getting used to friends being a requirement for jobs.
Back when I was little, me and my brothers shared a pc, there was one thing that I would play pretty much every chance I got and that was The Sims 2. I haven't played it in ages but I remember the good times, it sucked that they don't have the fun installation they had, they had a card game where you had to match two cards together.
The catch is that this is a 12-13 GB download. That's pretty big, if you didn't know.
Sims 3's bigger.

As long as there are mods that add handguns to brutally murder half the neighbourhood then shoot yourself I am a happy man.
I haven't played it in ages but I remember the good times, it sucked that they don't have the fun installation they had, they had a card game where you had to match two cards together.
I find the idea behind this hilarious. "Our game takes forever to install. People are gonna hate that!" "Uhh just put a matching game in the installer, maybe a jangle some keys on the screen, I dunno."
EA IS awful, it's Origin that's improving. I just want more competition to Steam, and only GOG seem to be offering it.
Green Man Gaming seems to be a good choice as well.
So is it technically legal to pirate it ?
man, this is so good, i've had an itch to play the sims 2 again but i can't find my cd. thank you, ea! (feels strange typing that)
So is it technically legal to pirate it ?
What, why would you need to. Its free. And origin is a small price to pay for that.
So is it technically legal to pirate it ?
No because it's a limited time offer.
So is it technically legal to pirate it ?
if were getting technical here, if you pirate something, yes, its still illegal regardless on what the price is.(pending laws in your country) If you pirate free games then you're stupid and shouldnt be allowed near a download button or link
Thread music:
I can't be the only one to sense an 1980s vibe to that music can I?
