Thank god I don't work for The Sun anymore they're probably going into maximum overdrive right now. COMMUNIST labour leader Jeremy Corbyn outed as secret MUSLIM leader of ISIS that wants to STEAL your TAXES
I heard Corbyn's already thrown the Queen in the gulag... the madman, she's just an old woman.
Bit of shadow cabinet news you might have missed: Corbyn created a new dedicated Minister for Minister Health position, which has no parallel on the government frontbench http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jeremy-corbyn-creates-new-dedicated-minister-for-mental-health-in-his-shadow-cabinet-10500075.html

I'm glad Labour have followed the Lib Dems in putting a focus on this issue (libs actually did a decent job of moving mental health care forward under the coalition but all that work is being slowly dismantled) as it's a very underrepresented one. I wouldn't be surprised if the Conservatives do the same in the next 10 years [editline]15th September 2015[/editline] Also Bacon Sandwich 2015 is Mao Bike 2015 Also, meanwhile, in Russia: https://twitter.com/RussianEmbassy/status/643440355606700032
ISIS won't go away on their own and without western intervention. ISIS will form a permanently destabilising force upon the world if not properly dealt with.
What does "properly dealt with" actually entail? Because we tried to "properly deal with" Al-Qa'ida, the Taliban, and various other insurgent forces. You aren't going to kill them, just shift the power around the old groups and the newer, up and coming terrorists. Bombing these groups doesn't do much, the civilians they recruit are under the thumb of groups that know how to use fear and propaganda in incredible ways to manipulate them. Just bombing the shit out of where you think they are isn't going to work, it can easily be spun to make us the aggressors to a population that has not other means to get information about the conflict. You'll just create more distrust, more fear of us and an intense enough hatred that these people will willingly give their lives to get back at us for flattening their villages. Education campaigns have worked before, whilst we had troops posted out there in force we started seeing progress once we had the guys go out and about and interact with the communities in ways that weren't "brown person spotted, open fire". Kinda hard to do that when you're just bombing fucking everything.
Omg ]
was that seriously the best that the sun could come up with? that headline could've easily been replaced with 'man gets the job he wanted' as someone who supports corbyn i can think of some things i disagree with that would look much more damaging on a front page
Yes Murdoch, publish even more absolute shite. I'm sure that's going to change the opinions of people who have already picked their side in one of the most divisive things in recent political history.

'2 great pullouts inside' needs a NSFW tag
Daily Star for best cover, there are more important things than Corbyn after all [t]http://imgkk.com/i/oo8c.jpg[/t]
Yes Murdoch, publish even more absolute shite. I'm sure that's going to change the opinions of people who have already picked their side in one of the most divisive things in recent political history.
You'd be amazed at the sheer power that he has. BSkyB, FOX, National Geographic, The Sun, The Times etc. etc.
he said they are dedicated towards the good of the Palestinian. it's not so different from the hordes of politicians who support Israel, I mean, why would you support Israel considering their actions? I see you're from there anyway, so you'd obviously be biased towards your own country. Both Hezbollah (and Hamas) and Israel are forces of negativity in the world - one wishes to put down another group of people and the other believe freeing their own people means they must terrorise another. If we can somehow eliminate both groups or bring them to talks with eachother (in comes Corbyn... surprise surprise) then you guys can have some peace. It's the UK's responsibility to sort out the mess we created by creating your nation.
This is late, but are you seriously comparing Hezbollah/Hamas to Israel and saying they're as evil as each other? Also, Hamas is definitely not dedicated to the good of the Palestinians when they execute people publicly for any sort of actions they don't like, use UN shelters to launch rockets and store their munitions inside mosques/hospitals so that any attempt of Israel to destroy them will make them look bad.
You'd be amazed at the sheer power that he has. BSkyB, FOX, National Geographic, The Sun, The Times etc. etc.
Oh yeah. I'm more than aware of that ball bag and the fact he owns any media outlet that the government doesn't. Our print media and "journalism" is overwhelmingly aligned with the Tories for this reason alone.
Is Corbyn a republican? Or is the sun really stretching the truth.
Is Corbyn a republican? Or is the sun really stretching the truth.
Really stretching the truth. He was in talks with Adams to try to end NI violence, not to encourage IRA activity the sun is awful
National Geographic
A climate-change denier owns Nat-Geo? :s
A climate-change denier owns Nat-Geo? :s
http://www.theverge.com/2015/9/9/9296815/national-geographic-magazine-is-now-a-for-profit-business-fox
Is Corbyn a republican? Or is the sun really stretching the truth.
He supports a 'united Ireland', whatever that means, and he would prefer to have a republic, but he thinks there are more important issues to worry about.

So yeah PMQs happened, Corbyn succeeded at making it a more civil affair but also he didn't really manage to put Cameron under any pressure. Maybe he'll improve the balance with time.
This method does mean Cameron gets to starkly expose his right wing opinions with no distraction from his usual blustering style and attempts at humour. It also meant that on this occasion he couldn't attack Corbyn because it would be seen as insulting the ordinary voters who emailed the questions in.
Anyone got a link for the full PMQ? I missed it.
Who's this idiot on BBC news "corbyn must appoint women!!" How about, "corbyn must appoint the people right for the job, regardless of gender!!"
In politics it's a good idea to have all viewpoints represented - having a fairly diverse crowd of people is pretty important.

Though Corbyn NEEDED to do this, because if he tries to head-on attack Cameron, Cameron will dig up all of the dumb things he's done over the years and crush him. Ultimately both are perfectly okay with the results from the 'new' PMQs.
What are dumb things did Corbyn do?
Lol that itv woman asking if he would kneel before the queen are people really upset he might not do those bollocks ceremonies? I wouldn't kneel in front of the queen
Lol that itv woman asking if he would kneel before the queen are people really upset he might not do those bollocks ceremonies? I wouldn't kneel in front of the queen
Beefeaters have been dispatched to lock you up in the tower of London you traitorous scum.
Lol that itv woman asking if he would kneel before the queen are people really upset he might not do those bollocks ceremonies? I wouldn't kneel in front of the queen
They're trying very hard to make him seem anti-british and unpatriotic.
They're trying very hard to make him seem anti-british and unpatriotic.
Eh, I don't care if he does not like the monarchy, it is at the end of the day a British thing and some traditions are nice to keep and maintain. He should just buck up and deal with it.
Eh, I don't care if he does not like the monarchy, it is at the end of the day a British thing and some traditions are nice to keep and maintain. If anything hes staying principled in the face of adversity, knowing he would get attacked for it yet being what he believed in. Thats admirable imo. People being forced to acknowledge the authority of an unelected (inherited no less) position doesn't sit right with me and it shouldn't sit right with you either. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with the royal family doing what they do, they bring in tourists after all and the cost to me (approx 50p per year) is worth it; but their birthright shouldn't automatically afford them power over the average person, to have it so would be undemocratic.
