I don't get how this isn't considered an attempt at making certain ways of thinking a crime. It's exactly like a thought crime. Not to say that being gay is a choice, I don't believe it is a choice. It's the way people are. And to tell them that the way their brain operates is pretty much illegal? That's just silly.
Indeed, its pretty much the equivalent of saying that its illegal to have Down Syndrome or Schizophrenia. They don't have the right to claim that homosexuality can be cured or be treated, its not Cancer, its not Heart Disease, and its not obesity. The LGBT community deserves the same amount of rights that African Americans and Women have, and if people don't like it they can keep their bloody mouths shut.
I keep banging my head against the wall but the stupidity of that argument JUST WON'T COME OUT!
I keep banging my head against the wall but the stupidity of that argument JUST WON'T COME OUT!
Perhaps they're the ones who should bang their heads against a concrete wall.
How's about you fuck off and stop forcing your morals and beliefs onto others, cunts.
Their beliefs are to make everyone have their beliefs. You force your own beliefs onto them simply by not believing in their beliefs. yea.....fundamentalists/orthodox/conservatives [editline]20th April 2012[/editline]
I think anyone who tries to run America with a bible should be shipped off to a deserted island that contains sufficient facilities for them to survive, but isn't governed at all. Let them build their own ideal theocracy there, leave america alone.
They did this with islands in the pacific ocean. They actually made desolate city gain hope and have an economy come in. Then it went to hell and became one of the top spots for sex trafficking. Cant remember the name. Maritime Islands? Mariana Islands?
I was already worried about a liberal agenda... now I have a homosexual agenda to worry about? I am telling you man, everyone has an agenda these days.
If they really followed Christianity as a belief, they would accept rights for homosexuality as part of history. It says so on the bible prophecy. To say they want to pass laws against that is going against scripture. Ding dongs. You can say I follow Christianity as a life ideal and yet I am ok with your sexual preference. By displaying open hatred for your neighbor is also disobeying scripture lol. I'm happy we have separation of church from state because I don't want these lunatics from representing our people and my faith
Actually, hating gays is pretty well established in the Bible and by extension Christian faith, that does not make it acceptable however to do so. The Bible can say all it wants about "Thou shalt not kill." and such, but it follows that rule worse than Jeffrey Dahmer. The Bible is filled with contradictions and back tracking and lying.
Now watch it as people take the words of a bunch of extremist cunts and generalize it to the entire religious community
It's a shame these guys have such a warped idea of their own religion. I see it as: God = Good, Satan = Evil, God = Love, Satan = Hate, therefore by hating entire groups of people, they might as well be going against God.

The problem is, these guys seem to have forgotten that according to their religion God gives a chance to repent to absolutely everyone, and that it's not up to them to decide who is and isn't worthy, but up to the god they worship.
You know. I think, to solve this. Gays need to make a religion.
You know. I think, to solve this. Gays need to make a religion.
I hope they provide free popcorn, because we'd need it.
You know. I think, to solve this. Gays need to make a religion.
They should write their own Bible and call it: The Homosexual Agenda

Not relevant. God is not vengeful anymore, he's forgiving. Therefore, there are no christians in 'merica. Only jews. It's the perfect trap, they can't resist standing by it! [editline]20th April 2012[/editline] It's like loading Titanic with Cheese and then encouraging the rats to abandon ship!
I'm Christian, and even I think this is a load of bollocks.
We should ban the old testament just so religious zealots can follow the new testament that teaches to love and accept everyone.
We should ban the old testament just so religious zealots can follow the new testament that teaches to love and accept everyone.
The old testament is eventually going to die out on its own anyway as there has been a massive leap forward in tolerance and general moral advancement these past decades.
We should ban the old testament just so religious zealots can follow the new testament that teaches to love and accept everyone.
or make it available under the "Mythology" section, rather than "THA TREWTH" section.
The thing is, if homosexuality really was as evil as some Christians make it out to be, why isn't it mentioned in the ten commandments?
The old testament is eventually going to die out on its own anyway as there has been a massive leap forward in tolerance and general moral advancement these past decades.
But how long is that going to take?
The thing is, if homosexuality really was as evil as some Christians make it out to be, why isn't it mentioned in the ten commandments?
They probably don't give a damn about the Ten Commandments at this rate.
Old testament. Not relevant. God is not vengeful anymore, he's forgiving. Therefore, there are no christians in 'merica. Only jews.
If the Old Testament is not relevant, then people need to stop trying to pass the Ten Commandments off as legit, considering that they're Old Testament, which is often passed off as corrupted by humans or whatever. Picking and choosing in not an option, the section is either useful or rotten.

Christian views on the Old Testament are wide and varied. Are we going to get into the same dumb notion that "you're not a true Christian if you pick and choose?"
