The rest of the world evolved, most religion with it, except Islam. The worst Christianity is doing today is the occasional fanatic firebombing an abortion clinic or something along those lines. Christianity was also relatively peaceful during the first few hundred years it was founded, then it just turned rotten. Islam started off with conquest, and got progressively worse, but wasn't as bad as Catholicism at the time. But the point is, modern day Islam is a lot worse than any current Christian sect.
