Maybe someone should get into a climate change debate with him over PMs so you can have an archive of really asinine statements ready to deploy as rebuttal

Yep thats why studies show we are running out of not just oil but topsoil (we need that to eat), water, 75% of deep ocean fish life, rainforest and to top it all off species are dieng over a thousand times faster then normal.
I'm just glad Republicans got voted into office in 2010, 'cause by 2012 everyone will be sick of their shit and Obama will win again no problem, along with Congress [img_thumb]http://i54.tinypic.com/25ipsfb.png[/img_thumb] (he's not perfect but can you imagine one of these insane fuckers running our country).
I hope by the end of all this people are pissed off enough at both parties to actually vote 3rd party after seeing it done in countries like Britain (crossing my fingers for libertarian but really any 3rd option is welcome at this point)
also anyone who denies the existence of climate change is full retard
Do you really want someone like Ron Paul in charge?
I may disagree with some of his beliefs but knowing that the president still doesn't have supreme power yes I'd rather have him than Obama, Bush, McCain or Hilary Clinton.
Do you really not want a president in charge who will work to legalize marijuana and repeal the patriot act and do something about the federal reserve and all the lobbyists in Washington?

<snip>
uhh getting rid of the federal reserve is a ludicrous idea though sooo
and uhh repealing the civil rights act is a ludicrous idea though sooo
basically either Paul would be a bad vote
Republican party is a bunch of dumbshit zealots. That speech is pure win though

We tried that though...and we got the Tea party. And I dunno, I've been ITN a lot lately, and I feel like all american politics is slightly invalidated anyway due republicans not believing in basic scientific principles.

Climate change exists, however, we have contributed significantly to speeding up the process, which is detrimental to the environment and, in the long run, to ourselves.

He's just trying to appeal to liberal sensibilities with those claims. I bet you he won't do shit about marijuana or the patriot act once he's in office. Politicians say a lot of shit to please both sides, and you have to look at who's saying it. A Republican claiming he wants Marijuana to be legal and the Patriot Act to be repealed? Sorry, but I find that to be absolute bullshit.

I believe he's a Libertarian, not a Republican.
Fuck Obama, what the fuck has he done other than triple our debt. Ron Paul 2012
Obligatory, "He can't win don't jizz yourself."
Markey really schooled the Republicans in that speech.
It was a pointless bill, I would have voted no as well just because of that.

So I imagine your political platform would be "rebel who don' givea FUKC"

you do realize he is more libertarian than republican right? He even ran for president under the libertarian ticket in 1988. I think he's only in the republican party because he doesn't have faith in 3rd parties. That and he's a social conservative.
I don't think legalizing marijuana is worth losing all the civil rights progress made in the last 50 years, the Federal reserve, and public schools.
You gotta weigh your options, see.
Republicans vote in opposition to that of the Democrats, regardless of what it is.
So I rest my case in saying Republicans are purposely trying to ruin my country.
Wait so what if the Democrats said that the Republicans are going to win
Wait so what if the Democrats said that the Republicans are going to win
Like hell we are you commies
The Republicans are the antithesis of science and freedom. They are bacteria that must be purged from our midst, and we must research the appropriate cure and vaccine, so that we may eradicate them and inoculate the rest of the world against their diseased ways.
They are also stupid.
I love how some people here are jumping on the republican hate bandwagon because they want to fit in. While republicans are crazy, democrats aren't without their fault either. But of course no one is willing to admit that.
i'll fucking admit it right now democrats suck really hard and i hate the republican platform just so you can snip your post.

actually, you know what? Most of facepunch is willing to admit the democrats suck. In fact, I've seen less people defending them than republicans here let on. I think it's hilarious.
Look at the woman behind him. She have that evil smile and trying to control look.

Quick! Divert attention to something else!
Damnit America. Research before you act.

if he's socially conservative (opposing abortion rights included) then he's not much of a libertarian
