Break action shotguns aren't meant for killing people. They are over sized for interior defense and do not possess a sufficient number of shells for the purpose. Contrary to popular belief, you can miss with a shotgun. Especially inside where the spread is quite small. Muzzle loading shotguns were implemented fairly early on for battlefield use, when everyone was using muzzle loaders. Shotguns largely left the battlefield following the invention of the repeating rifle. The invention of breech loading shotguns didn't see shotguns reintroduced to the battlefield because again, not effective vs people. It wasn't until the pump action shotgun came about that shotguns truly returned to the battlefield just prior to WWI. Two shells, assuming both connect, would be sufficient for one person. All it takes is two people and you are fucked. This is ignoring all of the other retarded bullshit in his comment, like the assumption that self defense is the only valid reason to own a firearm. Or that apparently AR-15's are really hard to use, but we should ban them because they kill people so easily. Such utter crap.
