So you are somehow saying that people who have guns for self defense are incompetent? So what are guns needed for anyways if people can't even use them properly?

Hard to miss with a shotgun, the large spread guarantees anything larger than a raccoon turns to jelly while forgoing the need to even aim. :v: especially at close range, as would be typical in a home invasion scenario. The AR-15 doesn't even demonstrate proficiency in target shooting, I'm a bit puzzled why they are so widely used.
If you're using a loose choke in a HD shotgun you're an imbecile. You want as tight groupings as possible to prevent overpenetration. Honestly I don't really see why you'd use a shotgun for HD in the first place. I feel like it's a practice only continued because of the perception that they're somehow the ultimate HD weapon. A properly loaded AR-15 would be much safer, convenient, easier to manipulate, and is more multi-purpose. If you don't want to risk overpenetration, there's always a wide range of pistol carbines available. Home defense situations don't only involve a singular menacing man in a ski-mask trying to take your stereo. Honestly, why would anyone take the word of someone saying you should blindly discharge a firearm in a crowded residential area out of a window or a balcony to somehow scare away threats? It's clear that he's completely incompetent with firearms safety and knowledge and thus has no room to speak with any manner of authority. Also, AR-15s (and AR-10s) are some of the most commonly used weapons in professional comp shooting.
didn't you already say once before that you've never held a gun
No I've used a shotgun and a air rifle, because my father goes hunting pheasant sometimes but not too often (there's a nice hut with a wood burning stove in it at the place and a fence I've shot empty coke cans off and pheasant is nice sometimes in a casserole). Not sure what relevance this has though. Have you ever taken your hands off yours?
I don't need a politician telling me what guns we can and can't have, not everyone is going to go on a mass killing spree with their weapons you know.
In a hallway. Maybe if the robber was a dwarf ninja or you had no arms you might miss them.
Do you even know what "tight choke" means? At close range we're talking spread so small it's irrelevant. Shotguns don't work like Half-Life's magic Spas-12.
Shotgun seems a bit overkill. I think that the best way to protect yourself would be pepper spray.
No I've used a shotgun and a air rifle, because my father goes hunting pheasant sometimes but not too often (there's a nice hut with a wood burning stove in it at the place and a fence I've shot empty coke cans off and pheasant is nice sometimes in a casserole).
Do you even know what "tight choke" means? At close range we're talking spread so small it's irrelevant. Shotguns don't work like Half-Life's magic Spas-12.
Well I googled tight choke and all it came up with was some wrestlers with their arms around each other.
what the fuck bullshit did someone feed you because that statement is so wrong I almost had an aneurysm reading it
I probably should have made myself more clear, I apologize. What I had intended to remark upon was the fact that the AR-15 is not specialized, or to be more broad, designed for use in such sport, which a similar or superior weapon would accomplish this with more finesse. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is my understanding that the AR-15 intended use was as a weapon of warfare. I admit that firearms are not my area of expertise, and I respectfully ask you excuse my ignorance.
So basically you know nothing about guns.
Well I don't let them control my life.
Well I googled tight choke and all it came up with was some wrestlers with their arms around each other.
Then why do you actively support the US governments moves towards more gun bans if you seem to know nothing at all about guns?
Well I don't let them control my life.
It sure seems shitty hats control your life. How's your pickelhaube doing???
Well I googled tight choke and all it came up with was some wrestlers with their arms around each other.
Understanding the concept of a choke is a vital part of understanding anything when it comes to shotguns. It really amazes me how little you know about the thing you so viciously hate.
it's pretty much a fucking castle, might as well dig a moat and douse your attackers in oil Jill.
The day biden digs a moat is the day someone brings a trebuchet.
Understanding the concept of a choke is a vital part of understanding anything when it comes to shotguns. It really amazes me how little you know about the thing you so viciously hate.
But I'm on a quest to destroy all guns in America, facts are irrelevant to my side of the argument, or even reality.
But I'm on a quest to destroy all guns in America, facts are irrelevant to my side of the argument, or even reality.
yeah we noticed
yeah we noticed
Likewise, for I also support unrealistic policies to support my fantasies and expect politicians to enact them on my behalf, or to call them misogynistic names and to panic buy as well.
Likewise, for I also support unrealistic policies to support my fantasies and expect politicians to enact them on my behalf, or to call them misogynistic names and to panic buy as well.
Well that pretty much describes you.
Then why do you actively support the US governments moves towards more gun bans if you seem to know nothing at all about guns?
Just like the people that are trying to pass these laws.
Just like the people that are trying to pass these laws.
And those who claim that if passed, they will see massive trouble. Or more realistically, nothing. [editline]20th February 2013[/editline]
Well that pretty much describes you.
Well, I do tend to dabble in pseudoscience as well.
And those who claim that if passed, they will see massive trouble. Or more realistically, nothing.
You can see into the future?? Please tell me more!
You can see into the future??
Sure I can, just like when every other piece of gun control legislation was passed. I remember the revolutions quite well.
I probably should have made myself more clear, I apologize. I admit that firearms are not my area of expertise, and I respectfully ask you excuse my ignorance.
The AR-15 was originally made as a sporting rifle, plain and clear. Armalite redesigned it to be full auto to use ina bid for the military.
Likewise, for I also support unrealistic policies to support my fantasies and expect politicians to enact them on my behalf, or to call them misogynistic names and to panic buy as well.
It's funny to see how desperate you get when you run out of arguments. Sorry, sarcastic retorts aimed at some imaginary enemy don't make you clever and they definitely don't further your point. I know you like to play the civil discourse card when you think you have the upper hand but presenting illegitimate arguments or just plain shitposting isn't okay just because it works out for you.
The day biden digs a moat is the day someone brings a trebuchet.
"Jill, hit the drawbridge and load the ballista, today we go to war."
The AR-15 was originally made as a sporting rifle, plain and clear. Armalite redesigned it to be full auto to use ina bid for the military.
close, they sold the design to colt, who then redesigned it for a military bid. Armalite always billed it as a sporting rifle
Damn. Bootsocks gets me again.
but what if i miss
you've got a very big and heavy blunt object in your hands and you can't come up with anything you could possibly do?
you've got a very big and heavy blunt object in your hands and you can't come up with anything you could possibly do?
You're assuming that the person defending themselves can hold their own in a melee against an aggressor. The weak deserve more than just two chances to defend themselves.
You're assuming that the person defending themselves can hold their own in a melee against an aggressor. The weak deserve more than just two chances to defend themselves.
Too bad Saiga's are banned under the legislation biden supports. The only alternative would be a pump action shotgun. Which is great, but it either scares the criminal away with the initial pump or it lets them know where you are. Assuming you don't have a shell chambered. But that is just shotguns..
