I'd honestly just buy myself and my girlfriend/future wife a upper middle end Tesla and call it a day on vehicles. I'd invest 10 grand in two computers so we have great computers to play with together. I'd keep my job and just take a month long vacation once a year, I'd keep my apartment and invest 20-30 grand into renovations because that property value will never go down here. I'd put the rest into various diversified savings accounts, lawyers, and investments. I wouldn't hire a financial advisor as they charge too much money while not adding a lot to me personally in that situation. I would have the best lawyers I could buy, and I would do that before even calling my girl to let her know I won. I'd be in a law office, the best law office I could find, within 30 minutes.
why
cause it's a great car that's practical and fun.
I never shit on anyone's dreams, just saying I personally think putting more of it into something that will return money would be a smarter idea in the long run. Fruit and vegetables aren't very profitable. Look at 50 cent. The dude was making money, wasn't even handed it all at once, and still couldn't keep up with his lifestyle. I think that would hit somebody a lot harder when you acquire a lot of money at once rather than making a lot of money over time
Oh my fucking god dude if I win the lottery and I want to put at absolute maximum 8% of six hundred fucking million dollars into my dream of living in the foothills of the rockies in Montana growing vegetables, raising livestock, and having massive fruit orchards that's my business. Sitting there on your keyboard telling me that I can't sustain my dream of that, with no electricity bill and no water bill and no food bill and a maximum of $5000/mo in expenditure on vehicles will bankrupt me is exactly shitting on my dreams. Even if I lived for 120 years after winning the lottery, $5000/mo isn't even $8m. I'd make more than that in a year off the interest of the invested $550m. I would never run out of money because I would never do stupid shit like get addicted to coke or import a different cut of foreign meat for every day of the week or buy 10 lambos or whatever the fuck. So go away
If you do that, make sure to take the lump sum instead of having it paid out over a long period of time. Otherwise your water pump replacements will out-pace your lottery earnings and you might end up in the red.
as the current owner of an 03 jetta vr6 GLI, shhhhhhhhhhhh
let's commission tesla to build an equivalent
How much would it cost to convert a 2002 Magna to electric?
So why does the F-Series continue to be the most purchased truck. :v: My dad's first ranger lasted him almost 30 years until he handed it over to my sister who killed it within 1, and our 1999 still runs great. My boss bought a used 2006 F350 utility diesel at 300k miles and it runs well. Take care of a Ford and it will last you a long time. Aren't Chevy and GMC the same truck with different front ends. :v:
Late, and irrelevant, but the "f series" is the best selling truck in the us because ford counts the F-150-550(iirc) as one model while GM counts Silverado and Sierra models and regular/HD models separately.
Here we gooooo, today is the day. I'M FEELIN' IT!
I like this idea instead- It's okay to give free money away but not free money for college. This is how fucked up our country is smh.
It's not free money. You pay for it by buying tickets. 1.5 Billion dollars wouldn't pay for a fraction of student debt. Student loan debt in the US lies between 900 billion and 1 trillion. How naive.

You give the state money for a chance to get millions and they take a chunk in taxes. Then they do fuck all with it.

I wouldn't care about an extra tax if it actually benefits everyone and wasn't just a disguise for a tax on the middle class. Saw the picture on twitter thought it was funny that's all. Carry on lol.
In addition to simple donations to education, the Florida Lottery has, along with the Florida Legislature established the Bright Futures Scholarship Program to help students pay for college.[3] Since the program's inception in 1997, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $3.9 billion to send over 600,000 students to college.[3] The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program consists of three levels of awards.[30] The first is the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award, followed by the Florida Medallion Scholars Award, and finally the Florida Academic Scholars Award.[30] Once the student is in college, these awards must be renewed by maintaining a minimum 2.75 GPA for Florida Gold Seal Vocational and Florida Medallion Scholars awards and a 3.0 for the Florida Academic Scholars Award.[30] Each award has additional hours requirements to maintain.[30]
Florida is pretty cool.

Responsible play gives the person a (shitty) chance to win the jackpot and enjoy some thrilling what-if fantasies while also contributing to causes that desperately need funding.

Hey, what if you get a few numbers the same on the powerball drawing last time?
Hey, what if you get a few numbers the same on the powerball drawing last time?
Heres an explanation of how to win http://www.powerball.com/powerball/pb_prizes.asp
Picked up 5 tickets. I hope to god I win. I've never won anything and never asked for anything. If I win I plan to split it with my dad and give some to friends/family. Definitely set up a charity to help the homeless too if I win. Could probably buy a couple run down apartments in Detroit for pennies on the dollar, restore them fairly cheaply, and set them up as halfway houses for homeless. Let them live rent free on the condition that they find a job, and after they find a job only have them pay for overhead (their utilities) and not charge any actual rent.
Got my first 5 tickets of this jackpot. Gas station was nothing but lotto buyers and the printer broke for a bit.
There was actually a line at my local gas station too. Only like 3 people but still. I don't understand how there's a line. In a 1 mile radius of that gas station there are 3 liquor stores, 2 grocery stores, a pharmacy, and another gas station that all sell lotto tickets.
That's how a $2 dollar purchase amasses over 1.5 Billion in a few weeks.
Florida is pretty cool.
Tennessee has the Hope Scholarship which paid for over half of my schooling and it's funded entirely by the lottery (fairly cheap school, but still). So me buying a few dollars in tickets doesn't seem all that bad compared to how much it gave me.
Literally just turned 18 a month ago, bought a few tickets. I've decided that if I win I'm going to buy several used T-72's (1)(2), import them, and then open a tank racetrack where people can pay to race tanks. The only stipulation would be that a staff member or something would need to be present in the tank as well as the driver to keep idiots from driving off. The cost for entry would be the cost for fuel used each run + a bit extra for repairs. [sp]Not sure if /sarcasm because tbh the whole idea sounds like it'd be quite entertaining actually, especially seeing as you'd have several million dollars to do it with.[/sp]
Just figure out the tank's fuel economy under least optimal conditions, and put in just a bit more gas than is needed to get around the track, to cover lining up and pulling off the course.

Could argue either way that the actual number would be higher or lower. Argument for a higher number (and thus higher operational range) is falsification of documentations during an american fearful soviet administration in an attempt to mitigate loss of valuable tactical information should spies intercept the manuals. Argument for a lower number (and thus lower operational range) is lack of efficiency of engineered parts coupled with old technology and aged mechanical parts.
I don't think my brain could handle the dopamine/adrenaline release upon seeing a winning ticket Not like I bought a ticket, but it's still nice to dream
Half hour until I win guys
I don't think my brain could handle the dopamine/adrenaline release upon seeing a winning ticket Not like I bought a ticket, but it's still nice to dream
That's why once you find out you won, you go take a shot or three of whatever liquor is in your cabinet, hire a lawyer immediately to draft up a basic financial plan/trust and get you a police escort to your local lotto HQ, then go to sleep.
