Also, Unless you're over 6ft1 then you would even be able to join the army. You would be the liability.

wow maybe because society literally forces women to be dainty and men to be strong
you can't make any stupid-ass claims like that until you remove society's influence
you'd probably have to be in shape before you went into combat
that goes both for you and the hypothetical woman
Are you too dumb to understand the physiological differences between men and women?
Women have fuck all capacity to build muscle naturally and it would be impossible for most women to carry around 210 pounds. Most guys can't even do that.

the differences between men and women are much smaller that the differences between men and other men, and women and other women
please put your shirt back on, dudebro, because the point still stands that in a situation where men and women are held to the same standards, you'd have the same number of people carrying you no matter their gender
We also have proof that females also carry better eyes, better matters of diplomacy, and women are naturally more able with keeping hearts and mind campaigns to a maximum efficiency. Having these traits in low-intensity conflicts around the world would be a huge benefit to current ongoing operations.
Then they should be diplomats and not soldiers.

If you are under 6'1 you are a liability according to the U.S. Army Weight Chart for Males. You would have to go under weight management program before you can serve.

Wrap it up Army folk. If some women can't lift a gymdork then none of them can join the army, and since most guys can't do that then guys shouldn't be in the army.
We better go back to dolphins.

If you look through the study, the muscle mass comparison (as in a pound of a women's muscle mass, to a pound of a man's) is roughly 10% (as an average). The numbers you have listed don't take into account that a man generally has more muscle mass (weight wise) then women.

That's what I am referring to, which is a weight to strength comparison.
Equal rights equal fights.
I'm all for gender equality but wouldn't menstruation make women bad infantry? No matter how good your training is you can't avoid that.
Women in combat somehow suppress their menstruation, probably through the sheer stress of it. It's kinda weird, the whole thing, but it seems like the body is adapting to being at war or something.

This is not a weight to strength comparison. This is the muscle strength of females compared to males. If you go by that then you would also have to take into account that generally women have a higher bodyfat percentage and less muscles.
Typically, males are physically stronger than females. The difference is due to females having less total muscle mass than males, and also having lower muscle mass in comparison to total body mass. While individual muscle fibers have similar strength, males have more fibers due to their greater total muscle mass. The greater muscle mass of males is in turn due to a greater capacity for muscular hypertrophy as a result of men's higher levels of testosterone. Males remain stronger than females, when adjusting for differences in total body mass. This is due to the higher male muscle-mass to body-mass ratio.[11] Females tend to convert more food into fat, while men convert more into muscle and expendable circulating energy reserves.
okay but actually try to understand that average strength does not equal potential strength through training

like the fact that you have literally no idea how women work and just assume every woman turns into a crying baby every month just shows you're an idiot and have no idea what you're talking about, it's kind of hilarious
you realize menstruation affects women less then the natural monthly male hormone cycle affects dudes right

Menstruation is also connected with their body fat percentage. If they become too muscular and/or lose too much bodyfat they can stop menstruating and in some cases become sterile. There was a female US army officer mentioning it in some news, she became sterile during her service. Blamed stress and physical exhaustion.

Hey if women can just switch off their menstruation cycle then we wouldn't need contraceptives wouldn't that be great? I am just interested in how that works, if there are studies on that I would glady read it, no need to get all aggressive and offensive.
Where do I say that every woman turns into a crying baby every month? Stop putting words into my mouth. And calling me an idiot for what you just assume? What is wrong with you.

Do you have a source for that?
You can type in all lower case with no punctuation all you want, doesn't make you more credible.
If someone in the military advocates gender equality, does that make them a literal social justice warrior?

you're using menstruation as an excuse as to why women can't work in combat roles
so obviously you assume that it's significant
I believe it was the USMC that had to lower the physical strength requirement or extend the time required to make the requirement for females temporarily because they couldn't pass it.
So because the leadership of the USMC is stupid, we should permanantly ban all woman from all militaries on earth?
you're using menstruation as an excuse as to why women can't work in combat roles

No I do not? Again, stop putting words into my mouth.
This is exactly what he's talking about, you're heavily implying that women can't handle combat situations even though they receive the same basic training as men.
b-b-but how can they fight a war if they need to change a tampon every 30 seconds
I actually heard that one in real life before.
the differences between men and women are much smaller that the differences between men and other men, and women and other women

Well the problem is men and women aren't held to the same standard at all, and they probably never will be. They should be though, if you can't cut it physically in a physical job the same as a man you're an inferior soldier.
And that first line is way wrong, look at a top male strength athlete's body weight to strength ratio compared to a woman who does the exact same thing. The differences are staggering

Most army guys could,
I was referring to facepunch guys mostly.
I'm almost 6'1 so id probably hardly have to lose anything (If anything, as if a recruiter is gonna tell me I'm a liability when I can do a pull up with over 100 pounds on my back and run a 6 minute mile)
You are a 75kg soldier, if you would get shot in the battle who would you rather have carrying you to safety ?
Agree) a 80kg man
Disagree) a 55kg woman
Lol the base I work at the females blow away then men in PT scores. There is no reason to exclude anyone from service unless they show they can't handle it or keep up with the standard.
What is also funny is the fact the military is doing a sweep and kicking out all the fatties which happen to be mainly men getting kicked out
Also so everyone ITT doesn't take me wrong here: I believe men and women should have 100% equal opportunity employment in any field. I just believe the standards on performance and behavior should be no different for men than they are for women. But they currently are (at least in the marines, I don't know shit about the army PT)

An average woman couldn't lift me ergo women shouldn't be in the army. An average guy couldn't lift me but I bet men in the army could ergo men should be in the army.
Do you see the flaw in your reasoning?

Read the above post dumby. All I really mean by that is that on average women would be much less suited for military service (in combat roles). That said I realllllly hope they don't start bringing in like equal opportunity quotas. As long as a woman can pull her own weight (and mine if I get shot) I wouldn't care what's between her legs
In the Finnish coastal jaegers women and men are treated equally. Because we all get trained to be able to handle most situations. This system has worked for decades, and I haven't heard a single complaint.
(Conscription is not mandatory for females though, the reason is because "most" women will already spend around 1 year if they ever get a child. So if they'd have to conscription as well, they'd lose a lot of work time.)
