How exactly do you expect that to change by refusing women the right to join the army?
How are we going to stop this gender discrimination and segregation? Your answer seems to be to keep things segregated.
Women already have the right to join the army in France, they even have the right to serve aboard submarines now, it doesn't stop higher ranking officers from trying to abuse them, because allowing women to take more diverse functions hasn't stopped the army from literally hiding away cases of sexual abuse in their ranks.
Sounds like the French Army has some big problems. In the US Army there is a large support network set up for cases of sexual harassment and assault. The French army should take a page out of the US's book.
It makes me laugh thinking about how the USSR allowed woman fighting in World War Two, but nobody else really did.
Woman didn't really serve as frontline troops though, although they often did find themselves in combat as the Germans advanced and many were killed alongside male defenders. While they also didn't really serve as frontline infantry officially, irregular units (partisans, i.e. civilian resistance fighters) coordinated by the Red Army did have many female members.
Officially, woman in the Red Army served a lot of roles including radio operator, tank crewmen, fighter pilots, air crewmen, rear echelon troops, medics, and perhaps most famously, snipers. The Soviets found them to be great Snipers due to their increased patience and acrobatic skills, and a tendency to avoid direct conflict.
