Most people that I know are actually seriously annoyed by unlocks in games and would prefer to have everything unlocked from the get go.
How exactly does this ruin the point of the game?
$30+ to unlock content you already paid for and already own. Brilliant. I hope nobody is stupid enough to pay for it.

How does other people getting their unlocks ruin YOUR gameplay? As much as I think this DLC is dumb (wtf pricing), this line of thinking is pretty bad too.
I've gotten every weapon barring a few and there isn't many I could live without. I don't really care who's using what really.
At least it's not a 99$ ring :v:
So like is this buying power or is everything just a side-grade?
Nah, this is more like saying "fuck you" to the treadmill...
and your wallet.

The point of the game is to have fun, not watch a progress bar, some people do not like having to kill an arbitrary number of people before they can use their preferred weapon.
Also, by that logic, people who've been playing longer than you ruin the game since they've had chances to unlock stuff you haven't as well.
I think unlocking stuff is part of the fun, the more you like a certain weapon the more stuff you get for it etc.
I can see why people would buy this. I've love Battlefield games but I hate the weapon grinding.
Uhh except what you consider grinding is going around dropping enemies and blowing shit up, which is fun and unlocking more guns based on how awesome you're doing feels good?

To me if feels more like I'm restricted from using 80% of the weapons in the game for no real reason when I could be dropping enemies and blowing shit up with whatever weapons I feel like.
Uhhh so? Bad company 2 did the same thing, but added special skins to certain weapons. Its not that big of a deal.
I considered buying the co-op shortcut
Then I'm like... Wouldn't that mean I'd be skipping co-op?
Turns out co-op is kinda fun! Everything is fun if there's a clear cut goal (though it is pretty grindy)

You only got the last weapons of every kit on BC2 with the SpecAct addon. Which did come with custom skins, but it's still less than this provides.
This isn't that bad, My friend loves BF3 but doesn't have more than 5 hours or something to play per week so this would actually "help" him alot since he really doesn't like grinding for them.
I've been able to do this for almost a month. Nothing new here.

And there was the big pack that came with everything for all the classes.

Was there? Must have missed that one, unless it never came to the PC version like the "onslaught" mode never did,
in my opinion the old battlefield games ( especially vietnam and 1942) were actually a lot more fun to play
it seems that i play bad company 2 and 3 just to rank up and unlock crap. i doubt i would feel a big urge to keep playing if i got this. all in all i believe that the old games had much more pure fun
Unlock's are for pussies and the rich. Just play the game like you're fucking supposed to like I do.
Ridiculous. I spent less money on the game itself than this. But whoever is dumb enough to purchase it doesn't deserve to hold money.
Not to mention the people that buy this usually suck hard (at least thats how it ended up when they did the same thing in BC2).
These things called cheat codes used to do the same thing for free.
These types of DLCs used to be called "Cheat codes".
The last game I played that had legit cheats was Saint's Row 3
I miss finding cheat codes.

I have been playing this game casually since launch and have most everything unlocked. If someone has to buy a shortcut, they shouldn't have even bought the game in the first place.
$30 for a cheat code seems like a bit much. Hell $10 would be pushing it, I know some people hate unlocks, but paying EA for an easy fix to an annoying design choice seems a little drastic.
Remember when you played games to have fun instead to unlock the next weapon?
You can still do that.

Or how about playing it how you want to and in this case it's just another way to do so.

But you can still play them for playing it with unlocks as a side effect. Your problem is not the game but rather yourself feeling like you HAVE to unlock something.
So this DLC is pretty much pay to win?

Tribes Ascend has at least one as well, although all it does is change "km/h" to "SANICS".
So this DLC is pretty much pay to win?
not really. that really only goes with the vehicles but the first weapons you get in a class are considered the balanced weapon for that class that is average in every aspect. the only thing that is rediculous with vehicles at the moment in my opinion is ECM jammer for the helicopters. they are basically flares but they break lock, distract laser guided rockets, and they recharge faster (it feels like).
I bought the co-op guns on PC because it's impossible to coordinate with my friends to do co-op.
So this DLC is pretty much pay to win?
Not really, you just don't have to grind, pay to win is when you pay for unbalanced shit you can't get otherwise.
