Gillard is a useless moron and Abbot is a dangerous conservative moron. I'd like to see neither in power
It's funny how Australian politics works.
While the US do have a notorious amount of attack adds, a huge portion of their political campaigning seems to revolve around inspiration and leadership. It's surreal to see crowds of such magnitude gather in support of someone.
Here in Australia all we care about is voting for the party which will shit on our chests the least.

Our Parliament is so useless lol, it's like a bunch of children disagreeing with eachother. Still better then congress though..
Unfortunately not. But as I said, the Queen (technically the Governor General) can force an election. For example, in the 70s, there was a minority government that couldn't pass anything, so they forced an election. The PM can also call an election early which is what happened after our last PM got booted by his own party
Of course there is a maximum amount of time between elections (s28 of the Constitution for the HoR, 3 years, and s13 for the Senate, 6 years), and of course the Opposition can force an election, through the same method that the opposition can in Canada.
If Parliament is not passing legislation or motions, then the GG will be forced to intervene, as they did in the example they gave. But the PM cannot remain PM forever - their position expires 3 years after the formation of Parliament.
i wonder if gillard was hot when she was younger
Apparently she was a communist when she was younger
I will be severely disappointed in the people that vote Abbott this time around though

Here she is at 17. I guess her hair didn't turn vibrant red until she joined the peoples party.
Oh god. Here comes the annoying campaign ads. I honestly don't know who to vote for. Abbott still thinks that everyone lives in big conservative families and that morals are key to winning to this election, then theres Gillard who honestly does not know what she is doing and is't really suited to being a prime minister. The greens seem too much of a bunch of environmental activists. Plus, I wouldn't want a bunch of armed farmers and mingy ultraconservatives at the head of power (aka Katter's Australian Party). All is fucked

No doubt still is a communist at heart behind all her parties backstabbing and power games, also a raving feminist. Looks like you will be disappointed, it seriously will be a miracle if Labor wins the next election, luckily most of the population is over her lies and her party's terrible economic management.

why do people always continually shout generic stuff like this about gillard but never provide any solid, specific criticism
seriously, it's like 99% of the negative stuff I read about gillard is just "she's bad because she is"
then if you delve deeper it's just sexist shit or conspiracy theories
i wonder if gillard was hot when she was younger
One of my old teachers in high school taught her, and another said she was hot because she's a ginger
Sex party are getting my second preferential. I'm voting Liberal Democratic Party first. They're classic liberal. They're not perfect, but they're more perfect than the major parties
The same Liberal Democrats who want these policies?:
1. Extensive reduction of taxes and fines, industrial relations regulations, and government spending including welfare, health and defence
2. Support of extensive privatisation and deregulation
3. Support of a 30 percent flat rate income tax
4. Support of market over government responses to climate change
The others are relatively less egregious because they're at least socially liberal, but when it comes to economics they sound terrible.
30% flat tax is laughable, except nobody should be laughing.

I didn't say they were perfect, just better than the alternatives
I know I'll be putting my vote to the Sex Party like last election. Haha, it says SEX!
Why didn't they win :c

It mostly centres around her broken promise of "no carbon tax". which is ultimately not the world-ending event that a lot of people seem to think it is and has had minimal effects on the state of affairs in this country other than making rich trailer trash like Gina Rinehart whine hilariously on national television that they can't destroy Australia's landscape and air quality without repercussions anymore.
