So say we run out of oil tomorrow (and for arguments sake petroleum too)
We are unprepared, at the moment. However, we are actually working towards alternative methods of transport (Electric/natural gas powered cars etc)
So while it may be daunting to imagine we could run out of oil very soon, by that time, we will be using a lot more efficient methods of transportation (or simply alternatives)
So, chin up, it's not the end of the world!
There are alternatives for most things :buddy:

Most of our electricity comes from sources other than oil.
And as I said, by that time we will have switched.
