Absolutely can't wait for this. Abe's Exoddus was better than any other game in the series, and closely tied for my favourite game ever
I liked Munch's Oddysee but it was too kid friendly and too jokey. Sligs stop being intimidating when they're constantly the butt of jokes, like being dropped in front of the meat grinder fans or acting like a cartoon character when they're electrocuted. The latter being a part of what made New N' Tasty worse for me. In the first two games the electric fences were scary, you touch one and you slowly disintegrate, just *Zzt* "Oops" dead.
Also the controls are pretty terrible and the design changes were all bad. The Mudoken huts look like any generic fantasy wooden huts, the sligs were all given the flight masks even though the visor looks cooler and makes more sense, and the scrabs and paramites don't have any detail on them.
Agreed, but the Vykker-related stuff was great. The animal testing side of things was dark and disturbing, so the message of the game was preserved pretty well.

The stuff about the slig masks was such bullshit. The new design is unique and recognizable, because design is about more than just looking cool. The stuff about their practicality was just a bad attempt at disgusing a personal preference; oddworld's technology is fictional, but apparently real nature has to be compared to a place where most creatures don't have eyes at all.
Wow, a new game from OI. Wasn't their last "new" game Stranger's Wrath from like 2005? Can't believe it's been a decade since their last game.
