I never understood why they needed 2 people producing something as easy as EDM
"If it doesn't have a guitar and drums it must be pretty easy!" Actually, like many electronic musicians, and musicians in general, Daft Punk are multi-instrumentalists and often sample themselves. Do you really think pure electronic music is easy though? It's all in the performance rather than the composition, right? My goodness you are so incorrect
If it tops Discovery I will be blown away. Favorite album by them.
Now would probably be a great time to rewatch that 1.2 hr long compilation video of Alive 2007 Shame they didn't release a proper live dvd. I'd buy that instantly
This is definitely good news. I rediscovered Daft Punk recently after liking the likes of Stronger as a kid (funnily enough, I remember thinking something along the lines of "These robot voices are really cool, but the main lyrics kinda ruin it"). They are easily my favourite artists in the music industry. I do wish they released a non-live version of Alive 2007 (or, as the case may be, that I could find it), because while the music is top notch, having people screaming in the background kinda spoils it for me.
It's still probably the easiest genre to produce, and theres a fuk ton more artists that do a better job than daft punk who produce solo
when can we be expecting your international chart topping EDM LP to drop
I never understood why they needed 2 people producing something as easy as EDM
Congratulations. You've just demonstrated how absurdly little you know about making music.
cant wait for kiddies to say they ripped off skrillex
Two questions, purely out of curiosity: 1) Have you ever tried listening to all three of Daft's studio albums in sequential order, without breaks? There's something to be said about the progression of their style throughout the three albums. 2) Have you listened to the Alive 2007 live-album? It's important to consider all of HAA in the context of a live performance, especially given HAA's incredibly short production time.
Yes. I appreciate their albums in their own context, but Human After All is a bore. Homework greatly influenced my tastes with its micro-samples (ex: High Fidelity) with producers such as: Mr. Oizo, Akufen, VHS Head, White Mask, Jackson and His Computer Band, Meat Bingo, SebastiAn. I own all their LPs, Alive 2007, a friend loaned me Alive 1997, and I own Musique Vol. 1. Alive 2007 was two years after HAA. He then proceeded to bombard me with Radiohead's "Idioteque," which is clearly an electronic-only song. I was so confused. Also, shoutouts to Autechre and Exai coming out soon.
we should be friends, your channel owns
Would it help if I told you I enjoy Björk?
