Dude, 3D is fucking amazing when properly used. It should definitely be in 3D, it's totally awesome, and if you want to see it in 2D, then presumably the cinema will be less packed in the 2D showings. Even if you don't like it, I don't see why everyone else should be denied it.
Plus it totally would fit Star Wars. Imagine a proper space battle in 3D.
Like I said, it would be interesting, but hopefully it'd be "Avatar" style 3-D where not everything is coming out at you all the fucking time where you could just say "that was probably supposed to be in 3-D" while watching the 2-D version.

This is exactly what I'm talking about, that's why I said "properly used".
I don't mean gimmicky shit like Spy Kids 3D (although that was kinda fun, but it wasn't exactly immersive)
someone explain to me why everyone hates 3D
Because it's almost NEVER properly used and it's fucking EVERYWHERE.
Because it's almost NEVER properly used and it's fucking EVERYWHERE.
it was used properly in avatar and the visuals for that were awesome
I'm sure the people eventually making this movie will be responsible enough to know how to use it properly

Many 3-D movies have played since Avatar and the only one that had decent effects was Toy Story 3.
Jackass 3-D was fun, but honestly shit like "Clash Of The Titans" need to stop.
Someday we'll have fucking romantic comedies in 3-D by the way things are looking.
You know those 5 minute cinematic trailers for The Old Republic? That I want as a feature film.
Lucas is really trying his best to turn Star Wars into a lame sci-fi bore-fest, but then again the last three movies were already arguably so.
Make Lucas not a part of it at all and you have yourself a deal

Have Mr Plinkett edit the rough drafts of your scripts
This could end really really really bad or really really really good.
They couldn't make them any worse than the prequel trilogy in my opinion.

More like just keep George Lucas away from it.
Yes that
I guess if Lucas wasn't writing there'd be no need for someone to point out glaring inconsistencies and shitty writing in the script
I'll watch it. I'm one of the people that enjoyed the prequels
Same here.
Grow up, Emz.
I think a big reason why people didn't like the new trilogy was because of the use of CGI, rather than models or puppets.
Using real physical objects was a big part of movies back then, and thus has a sort of generation that loves it.
However, since I was still growing up in the early 2000's, I have no problem with movies that use CGI, and thus I see both sides for what they truly are.
Assholes.
the CGI is only the tip of the iceberg that is all the problems the prequel trilogy has
I would love this.
But it isn't going to happen.
Back in the 70's Lucas ALWAYS said it was a series of 6 films. He said a few months ago he will never make any more films. Unless everybody in the room cheered.
Oh wait, they cheered.
Maybe this will turn into something like the Back To The Future sequels and nobody will watch them.
1-3 were far better than 4-7, they had actual action and good CGI. Not to mention Qui-Gon is a massive badass.

First of all, abort mission incoming flame squad
Second of all, 7th movie?

Mandalorian War Movie
So there'd be in total 6 movies? Ehh... must see quality first.

Dear god, yes. A movie set in the Old Republic-era would be incredible. As long as George Lucas doesn't have any part in it, of course. He's either gone senile or has become blinded by greed. Or both.
As long as Jar Jar binks is still in. Oh boy was he funny :downs:
I haven't wanted to have anything to do with the Starwars franchise for a while now. The last 3 movies weren't very good, not to mention the CGI garbage they're still throwing out.

You are either sarcastic as fuck or your a senile old man.
other than that,i aggree the prequels were mostly garbage, but to be honest,i liked the prequals for the action, but of course id never like the prequels as much as the PURE original, not "O hai,let us shove some CGI up your ass!"
