How could you possibly interpret the chart in that manner? The sections are clearly colour-coded. Is Canada the green or the pink though? I can't tell where it's pointing.
oh come on. anyone could have made the mistake that japan emits two times as much carbon as the US. The entire country would be enshrouded in a layer of smog as thick as cream.
Most scientists are pretty sure the climate change is partly due to human interactions with the environment. Of course, if you ask a large portion of politicians it's just a scam for more research money and we should all keep using lots of clean American oil that we bought from countries that hate us.
Well, the consequence of not doing anything to reduce it if it is caused by man is much worse than the consequence of doing something if it isn't. Not to mention, an alternative energy could be very beneficial to whatever country produces it first.
[img_thumb]http://forums.accuweather.com/uploads/post-1182-1223841254.gif[/img_thumb] oh, totally natural.
The earth has gone through glacial and interglacial periods before the 1800's. It has been suggested that climate change is occurring faster than before, but I don't think economic decisions should be made on suggestions without hard proof.

Hasn't all the CO2 emissions humanity has made in it's entire existence equal to what Volcanoes and such pump out in a single year.
[img_thumb]http://forums.accuweather.com/uploads/post-1182-1223841254.gif[/img_thumb] oh, totally natural.
It is. Considering the fact no one was fucking monitoring carbon dioxide emissions before the 1930s. [editline]10th November 2010[/editline]
Hasn't all the CO2 emissions humanity has made in it's entire existence equal to what Volcanoes and such pump out in a single year.
NO! That would just rule out global warming, and totally fuck up the hybrid car movement. Even though hybrid cars are more dangerous to the earth in their entire lifetimes, than an internal combustion engine.
Hasn't all the CO2 emissions humanity has made in it's entire existence equal to what Volcanoes and such pump out in a single year.
No. That's completely untrue.

solution to all problems involving auto-mobiles such as dependance on foreign oil and CO2 emissions, buy a Tesla.
destroy all industry and return to a hunter gatherer society
Doesn't this chart show just Global CO2 emissions from Fossil Fuel Burning.
stop using fox news, jesus fucking christ
I actually have to agree with Warhol on this one. Humanity has pumped out shitloads of CO2 and other nasty things into the atmosphere since the industrial revolution. It is a natural cycle, however we are throwing it off balance.

There is more oil in Alaska than in Saudi Arabia... [editline]10th November 2010[/editline] BTW, Electric cars will do almost nothing to help the environment or ween humanity off of fossil fuels. Just acrid smoke belched into the sky all day every day...
Instead of using all the oil we have. There is more oil in Alaska than in Saudi Arabia...
No there isn't.
BTW, Electric cars will do almost nothing to help the environment or ween humanity off of fossil fuels.
Electric cars aren't helping because they're rare and expensive. Humanity doesn't have to drink oil to survive, it's simply the cheapest and easiest way. Once hybrids and electric cars become the standard things will improve. There are an awful lot of them being driven around my town already.
I'm rather suprised that CO2 levels were lower around the turn of the 19th century than they are now, seeing as how there was absolutely no filtration system or environmental process involved. Let the fires of humanity pave the way for the future.
I can't believe people still "believe" climate change is not human driven. In some cases they deny the climate is changing at all. Pls read actual scientific information and get off the News stations.
No there isn't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Oil_Reserves.png
Nobody knows for sure how much oil is in Alaska, but they know there is a shit ton of it there.
Electric cars aren't helping because they're rare and expensive. Humanity doesn't have to drink oil to survive, it's simply the cheapest and easiest way.
I can't believe people still "believe" climate change is not human driven. In some cases they deny the climate is changing at all.
I'd have thought it'd be pretty obvious. Sure, the campaigns can be exaggerated, but saying it has no affect is pretty dumb unless you never took science in school.
