Basically this, I have no love of Putin or the motherland, but I also don't think Putin is the devil incarnate either, and the memories I have of Russia are more along the lines of, "holy fuck this country sucks because everyone is so poor, and cops don't give a fuck" not casually saying, "Putin sucks" and hearing a knock on the door, "This is the KGB we have a few questions for you"

Oh okay, so labor camps full of North Koreans on Russian soil aren't really Russian because it's "diplomatic" territory. Okay, got it. It's okay for Russia to "host" human rights abuses on Russian land. It doesn't count. That makes sense.

So that extensive report by the State Department that I cited, detailing numerous human rights abuses in Russia, including in Russia's prisons? Is that not a credible source? What exactly would you consider a credible source? Would Putin have to come out and admit to it himself before you would acknowledge anything as a credible source?
