The incredibles 2 does not deserve the shame of being used in the same title as anything related to a Cars 2 sequel
Oh my god The Incredibles. I loved that movie so much.
Please let there be more Frozone...

do kids actually like Cars though? they spent more money on Cars 2 than any other movie(with only monsters university having the same budget) and it was one their movies that made the least ammount of cash, cars 1 also made less cash than most others(it was still a shitload of money, but when the highest ones brought 600 million-1 billion).

The yearly average of Cars merchandise is 2 billion. Also
Even though the film received mixed reviews from critics, breaking the studio's streak of critical success, it ranked No. 1 on its opening weekend in the U.S. and Canada with $66,135,507 and topping international success of such previous Pixar works as Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Cars, and WALL-E.[10]
welp, that explains it.
but really they topped the overall money made by those movies, but the actual movie profit isn't higher than most of them due spending 200 million to make cars 2, in contrast to the average 80-120 million they usually spend.
Incredibles 2?
FUCK YES! Loved that movie. Been hoping it would get a sequel.
No way, Incredibles came out in 2004 where did time go!!?!?

Cars had to be made, and merch with it.
Then Wall E and UP.

You forgot Ratatouille.
I don't really mind Pixar milking the Cars cashcow as long as it means they have enough money to keep making other movies. When I worked in a preschool, all the kids were obsessed with Cars and Cars 2. Three kids with the same Lightning McQueen lunchboxes, such a pain when I had to sort them out at the end of the day.
After 10 long years, The Incredibles is finally getting a sequel. Holy shit. I cannot possibly describe in text how excited I am. I wonder what kind of plot it'd have. Perhaps it'd retcon the video game no one cares about and continue from the original's ending. That, or maybe it'd continue in a different manner by focusing on the kids, possibly even crossing into the present to show us how superheroism/supervillainy changed over time. It should be pretty damn good either way.
Also Cars 3, woo-friggin'-whoo. As far as I can tell, it's an effort by Pixar trying to keep their supply of money high, to be used making movies that are actually good. Somewhat like game developers who make shovelware until they have the cash for an original game of their own, or artists who paint what others want for cash until they can fund their own personal dreams.
Sad that Pixar of all people would need to fund themselves by dealing out heartless Cars dreck, if that's the reason why we're getting a third installment, but as long as their normal movies are still amazingly-good I can't complain much.
The incredibles had so much love put in it, I really hope they can keep it up with the sequel.
Man imagine how it'll look and animate after 10 years.

Incredibles already looks damn good, even after a full decade of aging. This is why cartoony and/or cel-shaded art styles are a very good thing, their simplicity both avoids the uncanny valley issue and remains just as appealing to look at after years upon years.
Wind Waker's original Gamecube release is one of the best examples of cartoony, cel-shaded graphics aging gracefully and still looking great after years. Another good video game example would be Team Fortress 2, though it has less cartoon styling than Wind Waker and looks a bit more dated.
What if pulls a 'Toy Story' and the characters are all 10 years older? JackJack is Dash's age, Dash is in late teens and Vi is mid twenties. Would be pretty cool but Bob has already had a midlife crisis so I don't know how he would be different 10 years on
The Incredibles is really good. And I mean really good. It is #2 on my top 5 movies. I have high hopes for Brad Bird writing an excellent sequel.

It could also go even further ahead, to the point where the kids are getting into late adulthood/middle-age like their parents were in the first movie. Possibly even with kids of their own, who might have new powers.
There's plenty of directions for a sequel to take the story, all we can do is wait and see which direction the writers go.
