Subway removes bacon and ham from UK branches and introduces Halal-only meat - Polidicks

This isn't news at all, they've been doing this for ages, and most places that do it have 2 stores. For example, Solihull has one subway selling Halal, then a 2nd subway barely a 3 minute walk away selling bacon/ham. It's not an inconvenience to anyone at all. Daily mail nonsense as always.

Subway has determined that these particular branches will be more profitable if they cater to people with particular preference plus the people who won't give a shit. They weren't forced to do it, they weren't threatened into doing it. They did it purely out of a business decision. You don't like it? Find a new supplier.

I know Ukip wouldn't do anything to stop this because no one will as for some reason it would be politically unpalatable to want to stop such a cruel practice. I'm sure it'd be outlawed if people saw it as a move to prevent cruelty and not a deliberate attack on Muslims which is what people probably would currently see it as. It's not Islamophobic to have problems with Islamic practises.

Besides, in India they don't sell beef burgers at McDonalds or Burger King, nor is it an option for any of the fast food chains, but people like them nonetheless (I miss Beef Quarter Pounders though, but that's another matter :c) All we get are chicken or Fish and a lot of vegetarian options (on account of a lot of the population being Vegetarian). FOr instance, one of the most popular things at McDonalds is a potato cutlet with some bread, and that's it and they do well. It was corporate suicide for them to try and pull this off nationwide, but I can kind of understand their need to minimize their losses by doing this the way they are.
