Subway removes bacon and ham from UK branches and introduces Halal-only meat - Polidicks

I hope this isn't true. Halal is less humane and causes more suffering to the animal than traditional slaughter methods. When I go to subway it is normally for breakfast for a bacon sub with all the salad so I guess they'll be losing my custom.

The actual story is that 10% of Subway chains in the UK are now serving Halal-compliant meat in place of pork products. I'm not sure what about that is 'religious propaganda', and 'for profit' seems tacked on to make someone feel indignant about it, but every restaurant that exists has a menu 'for profit'.
