I think you kind of misunderstood what he was saying? He was complaining about the dialogue not being well written, not that it didn't sufficiently explain what's going on.
Uh. Reread the paragraph of the sentence he bolded, friend.
Y'all are crazy, this is clearly the best song from that entire game
So that's why I have that song in my spotify list. I did not remember until now how I discovered it.
Excuse me, sorry. Best song. [editline]26th February 2016[/editline] The spotify account of Old Gods of Asgard just brought out a new album with the Elder God, Poet and Balance.
Hm... I haven't noticed this before:
Near the final part of the song, there is a reversed message embedded within the song. Played backwards, you can hear that it sounds like the message says: "It will happen again, in another town, called Ordinary"

Return is also [sp]the sequel to Departure, and the plot of Alan Wake's American Nightmare.[/sp]
[sp]I don't think it was actually the plot of American Nightmare. I kind of figured that was just a fun little side-story. I reckon Return (the novel he starts at the end of Alan Wake) is gonna be this proper sequel[/sp]
I wish they would release in universe books by Alan Wake like they do for Castle
I'd like them to have the storytelling of Alan Wake, but with a lot of the gameplay direction they were originally taking for Alan Wake 2 (Which is pretty awesome) especially if they can make it multiple choice. I hated the gunplay of American Nightmare, I loved the new guns, just hated the fact that ammo was basically unlimited because ammo cabinets respawned so quickly. Hype mode get.
Uh. Reread the paragraph of the sentence he bolded, friend.
I did. I think you should, too.
I could care less if it was just the dialogue, being as it takes place in this small hick town in the middle of nowhere, but even when he is narrating parts of the game, he lacks any real form of description. Sure, it shows you what's happening on-screen... but he's an author. He's supposedly great at bringing words to life...
He's saying that while he adequately describes what is currently going on, his description is pretty mundane and boring.
For some reason I didn't like Alan Wake when it first came out on xbox 360 I came back and played the PC version that I didn't even know I had last year and it turned in to one of my favorite games ever created.
