It wouldn't surprise me at all if Activision bought the top spots. It's literally how these kinds of "awards" have boiled down to in the past, the game company/publisher most willing to throw around the most money getting into the coveted Top 5. I honestly doubt titles like Tetris or Super Mario Bros. 3 or Final Fantasy VII would make the list. All of these are in the Top lists of many, many Gamers.
I dunno what kinda list you've been reading, in my experience most "top X" lists seem to mostly ignore recent games and go for "safe" choices that are on every other "top X" list. You'd be a damn fool to think Tetris, SMB3, and FF7 wouldn't be somewhere on the list because they're what people expect to be on the list, and the people making these lists usually do what's expected of them. Now I'm not saying that they're not going to put any COD games on it, I'm just saying there will probably only be one or two, and they'll be scattered among a much larger number of SNES and N64 games that are on every other Top 100 list ever made.
video games mean a lot to me so if a video game i dont like gets high on this im gonna end it all
